The best wheat beer I’ve ever had. I now have another reason to visit Berlin again.
I had always wanted to visit Prater Beer Garden, known as the one of the oldest beer garden in Germany. Since it was too cold for the outdoor garden to be open, I tried the beer inside the restaurant instead, and it was excellent. The beer was incredibly smooth and enjoyable.
A must-visit place for all beer lovers.

That is my third beer garden in Berlin, and I believe it is the best one. First of all, it is big yet cozy. There are plenty of shaded areas for lunch during the summer. Secondly, it is located not in a park but in the city center. The place is really nice, and the beer is extremely good. The service is fast and friendly. You can also enjoy traditional bratwurst along with sauerkraut and chicken with potatoes. The most unexpected delight is the wonderful pretzel. I have never had a better pretzel. I would love to come back here in the evening; I bet the atmosphere is magical.

Prater is a really welcoming and laid-back beer garden in the northern part of Berlin. It’s a great spot to relax with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely try their house beer, “Prater”—it’s excellent.
Alex G - 6 months ago
Prater Garten, Berlin’s oldest beer garden since 1837 in Prenzlauer Berg, offers communal benches under chestnut trees for self-service pilsner (5 EUR half-liter) and wurst, embodying gemütlich outdoor culture amid historic vibes. Snacks like pretzels; events include music. Affordable; open April-September. Pro tip: Evenings lively; bring cash. Accessible grounds. Nearby Kulturbrauerei. This spot captures Berlin’s relaxed spirit—ideal for beer lovers. A frothy slice of tradition!

My first beer garden experience, and it was everything I could have hoped for! So much seating, lively atmosphere, and 1L pints of beer. Food was good. Would like to spend more time here.
At my time of visit: when ordering beer you have to stand in one line, food in another. You have to pay a few € extra as a deposit and they give you a token, and when you return the glass and token you’ll get your deposit back (another line for returns).

It's one of the best indian restaurants in Berlin, I would say. They serve authentic mutton and chicken dishes with real indian Spiciness. Definitely recommended!!!!
I ordered mutton rogan josh and garlic naan(it had lots of garlic 😍), It completely satisfied my taste buds! The staff was so polite during the service.

The place is beautiful in its ambiance and service. I love Indian good and I try to explore new places for the same.
This is not a typical Indian restaurant with all the so a lot of pics of Indian places, but a really calm and soothing interior. The candle on the table tops it off making a place perfect for candle light dinner and a place to spend quality time with your loved ones.
I ordered panner Jhalfrezi, which was okay, but I would expect better in terms of taste from a restaurant like that. Other than that, the Starter platter and Papadam was great in taste.
I would recommend it as the hospitality of the staff was amazing, the place is nice overall with great mango lassi.
One more thing, they only accept cash payments!!! So, have some with you, otherwise the EC machine will charge you a lot of fee.

It's difficult to find good Indian/Pakistani curry in Berlin (the bland German palate does not allow for much flavour or spice) so I'm pleased to have found this place!
Full flavour, delicate combination of spices and not at all greasy ✨
The service felt considered and careful and the space is comfortable.
The only reason I give 4 stars for the food is because the starter was more like onion rings than an onion bhaji, but all things considered, I'm happy to go back and try other dishes :)

I was visited with my friend i experienced there delicious dish butter chicken and mango lasi .everything was amazing and cool.

Good service, reasonable price.
Taste is definitely made for Germans, not spicy enough. To my taste, it was kind of watered down.
18€/person for two mains and 2 mango lassis.

Limited choice in menu but they are of great quality and quantity. French frites is top - it’s not industrial style but authentic one. The broccoli soup was a little salty for me. But other dishes compensated :-)

Lovely restaurant. We had the escargot, rabbit skewers, duck and steak and each plate was delicious. Despite being pretty full, we ordered the creme brûlée for dessert which finished the meal perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive with offers to help translate the menu, should we need.

Great and cozy steak and frites place in Berlin that is a seriously good and more economic alternative to other more prestigious venues. Service was very friendly. Only downside is the open kitchen, which produces lots of smoke — if you are seated nearby, you might become a bit Smokey yourself!

I always come here with my French friends when we want a good meal, good wine, and a catch-up. The quality of food is incredible, the staff are friendly, and we always have an amazing night.
It's a small menu, but perfectly cooked.
The fries are the best in Berlin
Clothilde Hugot - a year ago
A bit biased about my experience: loved the starters, the duck and the meat but didn’t like french fries a homemade mayo as much. Nice vibrant atmosphere and good service in general.
Noise level was way above average, we could hardly have a conversation and it felt like you’re surrounded by a cloud of voices coming from neighbor tables. This was the first time I ever had a problem with it since I’m not very sensitive. Might come back and just pick a table in the front room next time

Visited this Korean BBQ Restaurant and had an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.
The meat was fresh and flavorful, and the DIY grilling at the table added to the fun. They had a great variety of sides and sauces to complement the meats. Would recommend.

On Saturday, the young man who served us was extremely charismatic and good-looking, which made our experience very unforgettable. The dinner was pleasant, but it did not blow anyone away, and it was served rather fast. However, the flavor of the food was significantly enhanced by the presence of this charming young man. It is the responsibility of the boss to offer him a raise. In addition, we ordered beverages and the main course. The kimchi pancake turned out to be quite tasty. The selection was limited, which makes it ideal for folks who have no prior exposure with Korean culture as it will not be too overwhelming for them. Would give a score of 4, but because we were served by this charming waiter, we awarded a score of 5.

I ordered Mandu, Samgyoebsal, Kimchi jigae, and Bibimbab. They are so good and taste the same as in Seoul! 😍 I highly recommend Sangyoebsal and Bibimbab. The staff is also very kind and high standard of hospitality. This would be my first favorite Korean restaurant in Berlin. Don’t forget to order some Soju or Makgeolli to stay in the vibe.

That was a fun dinner tonight! 👍🏼 We ate our way through what Juki had to offer - from the classic Korean BBQ to the Pajeons (Korean pancakes - recommendation from the house 😁) to a tour through their desserts (mochi, lava cake and jimagu). 👌🏼
The service and staff were absolutely lovely and we had a nice chat with the owner as well. Food always goes best with lovely people! 👍🏼😁

I had an amazing time at Papa nô.The food was super delicious — especially the suppe 11 is very delicious , which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The place has such a nice vibe, cozy and clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The service was quick, and everything felt fresh and well-prepared. Prices are totally worth it for the quality you get. Definitely one of the best spots I’ve tried lately — I’ll 100% be back soon! 🙌

Really reasonable price with big portion!! Pad Thai is not authentic, more a stir fried noodle however it’s still yummy! Would recommend this place for a quick meal.

We were sitting till closing waiting for the rain to stop. But it didn’t. And the waiter was very nice to offer us something not to get wet under the rain.

Yummy and great atmosphere :) the service was great- fun and friendly, down to earth. The wine was fantastic (was my favorite part). The food was good- classic, hits the spot, well cooked. Went for a celebration dinner with 9 people and it was easy to get a reservation and they were very relaxed- never felt rushed or anything. Everyone got their food at the same time. Some dishes were maybe a bit expensive for what they were- but it’s a very busy area so you’d naturally pay a price for that. I got the rinderroulade- the meat was maybe a little bit dry but else good flavor, the knödel and sauerkraut that came with it (I asked to replace rotkohl with sauerkraut and they were very accommodating) were very yummy and I think this dish was definitely worth the price. Would recommend if you’re looking for some decent German food and good atmosphere. Surprisingly (given the area) not very touristic.
One note which is relevant for some people: the service wasn’t extremely fast. I prefer this because I don’t like feeling rushed and appreciate feeling like we can take our time and relax. If you’re looking for extremely fast extremely attentive service maybe not the right place for you- but if you like feeling relaxed, not being in a rush, settling in, maybe ordering that other round of drinks, then this is a plus in my opinion :)

Ordered the smoked pork loin to share and it was well seasoned and soft with a good bite to it. Beer was good too and went well with the pork loin. Classic rustic design in the restaurant was welcoming and interesting. Service was friendly and spoke good English; tended to us promptly despite there being many other customers.

We were here on Tuesday, right after opening at 12:00 PM. There were quite a few visitors. We ordered solyanka, goulash, currywurst, and strudel. Everything was excellent. The only thing is that we had to wait a little for the strudel, but it wasn’t a big deal. We really enjoyed everything. If someone is looking for authentic German cuisine, they must visit this place. It's affordable and delicious.

An absolutely fantastic experience! Restaurant Lorbeer masterfully combines traditional German cuisine with a modern flair.
The service was impeccable—friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. I highly recommend the schnitzel, but if you see the deer sausage on the menu as an appetizer, don’t miss it. It was absolute perfection.
I’m already looking forward to returning to Restaurant Lorbeer the next time I’m in Berlin

Although we found the portions a bit on the smaller side, the flavour was phenomenal!
Absolutely delicious schnitzel and gnocchi.
The beetroot gnocchi was filled with a cream cheese, something I would definitely go back for.
Service is so friendly and nice, we were really happy with that too.
I would consider this one of the best veal schnitzels in berlin.

Overall, a very disappointing experience here. We made a reservation and showed up a few minutes early. Restaurant was less than half full. After placing our order, we waited about 30 minutes for the appetizer and over an hour for our main dishes. When we asked about the delay, the first waitress said the food was coming without even checking, and seemed annoyed we were asking.
Over 15 minutes later, we still hadn’t received any food and several parties that arrived after us had already finished dining. We were ready to leave, and the manager came over, apologized, and told us the food would be out within two minutes and that they would offer a “steep discount.” The food did arrive shortly after, and the manager was much more respectful than the initial waitress.
Unfortunately, the steaks were also disappointing. The hanger steak was cut into strange chunks rather than presented properly, and the ribeye was dry and didn’t resemble a ribeye at all, it looked more like a flank steak.
We were told dessert would be on the house. The chocolate cake was fine, but when the bill arrived, the only “steep discount” was the free dessert, which felt misleading given what was promised.
While we understand that busy kitchens can cause delays, it was frustrating to see several tables who arrived after us get served and finish their meals before we received ours, and the waitresses attitude. Overall, poor service and disappointing food.

Service is nice and the location too. However, the prices are super high and not really worth what you get. I've found much better meat in more reasonably priced restaurants. Also, the starters are incredibly small, it's sad to share them.
mathifonseca - 6 months ago
Very disappointed with this restaurant, especially because the reviews reflected another story. To say the least, it’s alright food at best. I feel like anyone would be better off spending their money elsewhere.
I opted for the three course meal. The onion soup was really good and left me with high hopes for the evening. Then once the entrecôte came out it shifted the dinner. The steak was medium and it was greyish brown on the inside. The color didn’t bother me that much but the texture did. The whole experience reminded me of eating roast beef instead of steak. The steak also came out lukewarm which was not a good start. The sauce really didn’t go well with the steak, maybe that’s my personal taste.
The fries accompanying the steak were very overcooked but pretty tasty.
Finally I awaited dessert, I had high hopes for a good crème brûlée. However, dessert did not come because the two waiters forgot to bring it out. I asked for the dessert again and mine finally came however my partner still didn’t receive theirs. I reminded them about her dessert and they brought out a crème brûlée despite them having our order at the start of the meal. She did finally receive her chocolate dessert and it was very good.
I was disappointed by the crème brûlée though. The crème brûlée came out cold on top, it must have been made in batches at the start of the night. I feel like putting the sugar on top and spending a few seconds torching it before serving would be something very simple that would make it better for everyone.
TDLR: For a restaurant that prides itself on being like your mother’s kitchen, the food felt a bit impersonal in some ways. It’s okay food but not worth the price.

Great Sushi Bar! Good location next to a tram and a subway stations. There are a lot of tables, low and high - plenty of room. The variety of drinks is huge, aswell as the food choices, which are plenty. Some sushi sorts are pretty exotic and may seem as not very authentic. Still, they all taste great!
Have been there for a private event with ~100 people.
