Just the best!! Great selection of beer and what seems to be a rotating menu (check before you go if you’re looking for something in particular). We came twice and their roasted chicken is amazing with sauerkraut and cabbage salad! Their spaetzle was awful. The atmosphere is so fun and we cannot wait to go back! They also have ordering and paying down to a science. There are no long lines and waiting for more than a few minutes which is impressive given the size and amount of people there at any given time.

As Berlin locals, we’re almost embarrassed to admit that we only recently discovered Prater Biergarten. Despite living in the city for years, this place somehow remained hidden from us, and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. The first thing that stood out was how much larger the beer garden is than it appears from the outside. Once you enter, the space opens up considerably, with plenty of seating beneath mature trees that create a relaxed and authentic biergarten atmosphere. Several people told us that the site was renovated recently, and if that’s true, the renovation was done very well. The entire area feels well maintained while still preserving its historic character. One of the highlights is the beautiful old pool house and the Art Deco-inspired architecture, which give the venue a unique charm that sets it apart from many other beer gardens in Berlin. The combination of history, architecture, and greenery creates a special vibe that’s difficult to find elsewhere. Whether you’re meeting friends, enjoying a sunny afternoon, or simply having a beer after work, the atmosphere is definitely the main reason to visit. The beer selection was enjoyable and perfectly suited to the setting. Sitting under the trees with a cold beer in hand is exactly the kind of Berlin experience many visitors are looking for. Unfortunately, the food was the weak point of our visit. The menu felt surprisingly limited for a beer garden of this size. We expected to find classic biergarten snacks such as fries or other simple dishes that pair well with beer, but the options were quite restricted. We ordered a Flammkuchen, which turned out to be rather small for the price and didn’t particularly impress us in terms of taste. Considering the otherwise high quality of the venue, the food offering felt underwhelming and overpriced. Overall, Prater Biergarten is absolutely worth visiting for its atmosphere, historic setting, architecture, and beer. It’s a beautiful place to spend a few hours and enjoy one of Berlin’s oldest and most iconic beer gardens. Just don’t come with high expectations for the food. For us, this is a place to enjoy the ambiance and drinks rather than to have a memorable meal.

What is happening? We had a family lunch there three weeks ago and everything was ok. Yesterday they served us ridiculously small portions for the regular price on dessert plates! The beer garden was almost empty and it was early lunchtime.

The best wheat beer I’ve ever had. I now have another reason to visit Berlin again. I had always wanted to visit Prater Beer Garden, known as the one of the oldest beer garden in Germany. Since it was too cold for the outdoor garden to be open, I tried the beer inside the restaurant instead, and it was excellent. The beer was incredibly smooth and enjoyable. A must-visit place for all beer lovers.

That is my third beer garden in Berlin, and I believe it is the best one. First of all, it is big yet cozy. There are plenty of shaded areas for lunch during the summer. Secondly, it is located not in a park but in the city center. The place is really nice, and the beer is extremely good. The service is fast and friendly. You can also enjoy traditional bratwurst along with sauerkraut and chicken with potatoes. The most unexpected delight is the wonderful pretzel. I have never had a better pretzel. I would love to come back here in the evening; I bet the atmosphere is magical.

This bar has a nice cozy vibe, and when we arrived we chose to sit in the back room / smoking area. It wasn’t super busy, and the bartender said he would come and take our order. After getting his attention again, he still didn’t come. We waited about 25 minutes to order drinks, and that was quite frustrating. However, the drinks were good and I would return, just would recommend sitting closer to the bar if you want to be served quickly.

Such a lovely cozy place! I love that cocktails in the pictures with vanilla absolute. So five stars unconditionally!!Lol (But there is actually a certain bartender in the picture makes really really good cocktails. So If you see the bartender, try a cocktail! You won’t regret. Definitely!:-D )

Lovely restaurant. We had the escargot, rabbit skewers, duck and steak and each plate was delicious. Despite being pretty full, we ordered the creme brûlée for dessert which finished the meal perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive with offers to help translate the menu, should we need.

Limited choice in menu but they are of great quality and quantity. French frites is top - it’s not industrial style but authentic one. The broccoli soup was a little salty for me. But other dishes compensated :-)

A bit biased about my experience: loved the starters, the duck and the meat but didn’t like french fries a homemade mayo as much. Nice vibrant atmosphere and good service in general. Noise level was way above average, we could hardly have a conversation and it felt like you’re surrounded by a cloud of voices coming from neighbor tables. This was the first time I ever had a problem with it since I’m not very sensitive. Might come back and just pick a table in the front room next time

My husband and I had an amazing evening at Les Valseuses, just a street away from Oderberger Strasse. Everything was perfect: the food, the service, and the super warm hospitality from Julien and his team. The cuisine was refined AND generous, full of delicious flavor combinations that kept surprising us. Ingredients were fresh, seasonal, expertly handled, and the sauces were flawless. The wine selection was top-notch, with Julien’s recommendations hitting every mark. The bistro features an open kitchen and intimate seating, creating a truly original, cozy atmosphere with a distinct Berlin edge - candlelit, vibrant, and full of character. We can’t recommend it enough and will be back at the first chance!!! Thank you for such a lovely night.

I always come here with my French friends when we want a good meal, good wine, and a catch-up. The quality of food is incredible, the staff are friendly, and we always have an amazing night. It's a small menu, but perfectly cooked. The fries are the best in Berlin

I ordered a bunch of Sushi for delivery and the food arrived very quickly. As quickly came my disappointment when vegetarian and non-vegetarian items were completely mixed up making the food unpalatable for my grass eating friends. One of the items was also wrong - we specifically picked one without Avocado due to allergies but got all rolls delivered with Avocado. To top it off, several rolls had no filling but pretty much were just rice balls with slim topping - or mega Nigiri (attached a picture). The food was edible and I am completely stuffed but I would summarize that one should only go here to mindlessly stuff their faces, not to experience Asian dining.

Really reasonable price with big portion!! Pad Thai is not authentic, more a stir fried noodle however it’s still yummy! Would recommend this place for a quick meal.

The service is nice. The prices are average. The atmosphere is cozy. The alcohol-free cocktail was really tasty. We were sitting till closing waiting for the rain to stop. But it didn’t. And the waiter was very nice to offer us something not to get wet under the rain.

Yummy and great atmosphere :) the service was great- fun and friendly, down to earth. The wine was fantastic (was my favorite part). The food was good- classic, hits the spot, well cooked. Went for a celebration dinner with 9 people and it was easy to get a reservation and they were very relaxed- never felt rushed or anything. Everyone got their food at the same time. Some dishes were maybe a bit expensive for what they were- but it’s a very busy area so you’d naturally pay a price for that. I got the rinderroulade- the meat was maybe a little bit dry but else good flavor, the knödel and sauerkraut that came with it (I asked to replace rotkohl with sauerkraut and they were very accommodating) were very yummy and I think this dish was definitely worth the price. Would recommend if you’re looking for some decent German food and good atmosphere. Surprisingly (given the area) not very touristic. One note which is relevant for some people: the service wasn’t extremely fast. I prefer this because I don’t like feeling rushed and appreciate feeling like we can take our time and relax. If you’re looking for extremely fast extremely attentive service maybe not the right place for you- but if you like feeling relaxed, not being in a rush, settling in, maybe ordering that other round of drinks, then this is a plus in my opinion :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic, hearty, and full of character. Had a fantastic experience at Zum Schusterjungen — this is exactly what you want from a traditional German spot. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and authentic. Proper old-school charm, relaxed vibe, and the kind of place where you instantly know you’re going to eat well. The food was outstanding: The schnitzel was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of flavour. The pork knuckle was a standout — rich, hearty, and paired beautifully with the mash and potatoes. Even the sausage and chips hit the spot — simple, but done properly. And the apple strudel to finish… absolute classic, light, warm, and just the right level of sweetness. The beers were spot on too — proper steins, great taste, and exactly what you want alongside that kind of food. What really made it though was the experience — good company, great food, and a setting that feels genuine rather than touristy. If you’re looking for authentic German food, generous portions, and a proper relaxed dining experience, this place delivers. Would 100% go back

SOOO amazing!!! I was craving authentic German food and I’m so glad I chose this restaurant. I tried the bludwurst and it BLEW my mind. The workers are also very friendly and spoke to us in English with no problem. The waitress even recommended me the best German beer which I enjoyed a lot. Absolutely recommend if you want to try some fantastic German food!!!

An absolutely fantastic experience! Restaurant Lorbeer masterfully combines traditional German cuisine with a modern flair. The service was impeccable—friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. I highly recommend the schnitzel, but if you see the deer sausage on the menu as an appetizer, don’t miss it. It was absolute perfection. I’m already looking forward to returning to Restaurant Lorbeer the next time I’m in Berlin

Went back there after two years and felt so welcomed. We ordered has starter , mains and desserts. Also we have tried their homemade Cocktails. The chef served the food personally. The whole experience was so good. Will be back soon.

Although we found the portions a bit on the smaller side, the flavour was phenomenal! Absolutely delicious schnitzel and gnocchi. The beetroot gnocchi was filled with a cream cheese, something I would definitely go back for. Service is so friendly and nice, we were really happy with that too. I would consider this one of the best veal schnitzels in berlin.

Very nice steak frites, prepared rare to medium rare with good fries. The moelleux au chocolate dessert was delicious. For me, the steak tartare didn't quite hit the spot, it was a little salty and the taste of the meat didn't shine through. Service was excellent. Overall a good place for lunch, and I hope to stop by again soon.

Overall, a very disappointing experience here. We made a reservation and showed up a few minutes early. Restaurant was less than half full. After placing our order, we waited about 30 minutes for the appetizer and over an hour for our main dishes. When we asked about the delay, the first waitress said the food was coming without even checking, and seemed annoyed we were asking. Over 15 minutes later, we still hadn’t received any food and several parties that arrived after us had already finished dining. We were ready to leave, and the manager came over, apologized, and told us the food would be out within two minutes and that they would offer a “steep discount.” The food did arrive shortly after, and the manager was much more respectful than the initial waitress. Unfortunately, the steaks were also disappointing. The hanger steak was cut into strange chunks rather than presented properly, and the ribeye was dry and didn’t resemble a ribeye at all, it looked more like a flank steak. We were told dessert would be on the house. The chocolate cake was fine, but when the bill arrived, the only “steep discount” was the free dessert, which felt misleading given what was promised. While we understand that busy kitchens can cause delays, it was frustrating to see several tables who arrived after us get served and finish their meals before we received ours, and the waitresses attitude. Overall, poor service and disappointing food.

Service was alright, we were 7 people and waited round about 1 hour for food. A bit long in my opinion. No music. Food: Fries 8/10 - good taste and very crunchy! A bit cold tho BBQ Spareribs 3/10- sadly veeery Dry and BBQ sauce was soure and not sweet. Wouldnt recommend. Dessert 7/10 - classic nothing special

Service is nice and the location too. However, the prices are super high and not really worth what you get. I've found much better meat in more reasonably priced restaurants. Also, the starters are incredibly small, it's sad to share them.

Great Sushi Bar! Good location next to a tram and a subway stations. There are a lot of tables, low and high - plenty of room. The variety of drinks is huge, aswell as the food choices, which are plenty. Some sushi sorts are pretty exotic and may seem as not very authentic. Still, they all taste great! Have been there for a private event with ~100 people.

The go-to place for celiacs looking for a gluten free burger. Indoor sitting is quite limited, thus I would recommend reserving a table in advance. Has the "family-business" atmosphere. Would recommend the fried sweet potatoes on the side.

Burgerie offers burgers for everyone. Whether you’re a meat eater, vegetarian, vegan or want to enjoy a gluten-free burger: they know how to satisfy their guests and their hunger for a good burger. I enjoyed the gluten-free Rabby burger, made from kohlrabi. It was tasteful, delicious but also nutritious. You can sit outside or indoors, depending on how you handle the street vibe/sounds. Big recommend to go here!

We used to live in Berlin and this was a regular spot for us, so we make a point of coming back every time we’re in town. The food is great and the cocktails are excellent — the touchdown is the standout. But it’s really the staff who make this place: some of the friendliest, most genuine people we’ve come across, and they turn every visit into something special.

Starters were great. The main dish is not as expected considering the price. I've tried much better and cheaper quesadillas in fast food restaurants. The same applies to the salad. The staff was very welcoming and professional 👍🏼

Nice restaurant,big portions (except for the dessert). The waiter was very kind and professional. Naan could be softer and the mixed starters tasted like frozen food. However,the samosas were fresh and very delicious and we recommend them.

This was an amazing place to eat at. The taste was fully delicious, the set up of the restaurant is really nice as well. People working here are super helpful so in customer service I would say they are amazing. I have shared some pictures here and you can see how good they look, starting from the naan which was huge and had An amazing taste and then the butter chicken as well. The quantity served was super good and barely finished because I was satisfied almost before finishing. I got impressed by how nice their bathroom is so sharing a picture of it might help understanding how good they are with this personal touches from India.
