5 Star Rating Vegetarian tasting menu and non alcoholic drinks flight for me this time. The food was sensational and the pairings were perfection. The service was excellent and the place had a great vibe. Fantastic team. Get a taxi there as the door is not obvious!

5 Star Rating We had so much fun! I highly recommend the wine pairing. I am sober and was thrilled to see that they had a full non-alcoholic wine pairing (which included many homemade NA wines). It was an absolutely beautiful and delicious dinner. The service was top notch and the atmosphere reminded me of a NY speakeasy as we arrived at the bar. The upstairs dining area was much more vibrant and festive. Everyone seemed to be smiling and enjoying themselves. All of my dinner companions were not vegan/veg but raved about the whole dining experience. Being a vegan and sharing such a lovely experience with them felt amazing. 10/10 will go again!

5 Star Rating *5/5 Stars* Cookies Cream exceeded all expectations! The 7-course vegetarian menu was a culinary masterpiece, with innovative dishes that delighted every sense. The wine pairing was exquisite, perfectly complementing each course. Michel, our waiter, was phenomenal - knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. His passion for the food and wine shone through, making the experience even more special. Returning to Cookies Cream was a thrill, and it lived up to its previous wonderful experiences. Can't wait to come back and indulge again!

5 Star Rating I had an incredible experience with the 7-course tasting menu. Everything was prepared with great care, the food pairing was impeccable and the service and table service was very pleasant. If you want to have a memorable experience, go to Cookies Cream. It will definitely be a restaurant I will return to when I visit Berlin.

5 Star Rating Highly recommend. It was lovely. A little tricky to find - but follow the alley next to the Westin Hotel. We could only get a reservation at short notice for 4 courses so didn’t get to taste the 7 courses but it was greys nonetheless. Lots of great plant based tastes. Felt wines weren’t that good but still quite decent so perhaps opt for the sommerlier’s wine pairing. Great service with a smile and would like to come back for 7 courses!

5 Star Rating Consistently Excellent – A Berlin Classic Borchardt never disappoints. The food was outstanding as always—classic dishes executed perfectly, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was attentive and professional, and the staff made the experience even more enjoyable with their warmth and efficiency. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere makes it ideal for both special occasions and casual dinners. Whether you’re craving their legendary schnitzel or just a great glass of wine, Borchardt delivers. A true Berlin institution—always worth a visit!

2 Star Rating Great food - the rest kind of sucked. We both had the schnitzel and agreed it was the best schnitzel we'd ever had. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. The whole restaurant is basically one big table - we were touching elbows with our neighbours. It is also impossible to have any kind of conversation as you can't even hear yourself think! Staff are just run off their feet so service is somewhat slow. All in all - definitely an experience, not necessarily a good one.

5 Star Rating Excellent dinner at 8.30pm Wednesday 👍✅ my last visit was 1995 for a business dinner and on a return 5 night personal trip to Berlin I was determined to revisit for a special dinner with my partner!! We were not disappointed and it way good to see the restaurant busy and thriving 👍✅ thank you for an excellent dinner of fresh asparagus and strawberries with accompanying wine and beer!! You made our visit memorable and we learnt our waiter was working with you at my last visit.... well done and thank you for so many years of loyal service...💯🏆

2 Star Rating We reserved 8 seats at 10:30pm but the restaurant is crowded. We have to wait around 15 mins to get table (although we reserved) we got the place downstair. Maybe it our fault that didn‘t expect that it gonna be like a club at downstair. The waiter didn’t mention it also. We checked the reviews and it looks like a dining restaurant, but it’s not. So if you want a place for talking and eating pleasantly - not dancing and all over with smoking, don‘t forget to reserve EG floor!! Moreover, we ordered Whiskey sour at the bar but one of them came with decorated fruit but two not, the bar was very busy and the bartender spoke with us not so nice. However, the waiter who took care of our table is nice. The food is ok, schnitzel is huge.

5 Star Rating We found this restaurant while wandering through Berlin. We had been looking for a German restaurant to experience German food. Wow. We so so pleased with this restaurant. We shared a schnitzel with an extra side of sauerkraut followed by an apple strudel. The service was great and the food was way better than our expectations. The location was great for our tour through the sights of Berlin. If given the opportunity we would definitely eat there again.

4 Star Rating A great spot right in the heart of Berlin with a pleasant view and authentic Bavarian atmosphere. Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt offers a truly traditional beer garden experience, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy classic German food and drinks in a beautiful outdoor setting. The service was very polite and attentive — all the staff we encountered spoke English, which made ordering and asking questions very easy. The menu offers standard Bavarian fare like schnitzel, sausages, potato salad, and pretzels, accompanied by freshly tapped Augustiner beer — brewed in Munich since 1328. Everything was served fresh and quickly, and the portion sizes were generous. One of the highlights of this place is the outdoor seating area during the summer months. With checkered blue-and-white tablecloths and plenty of shade from umbrellas, it’s a great place to relax and watch the evening go by. The view toward the Gendarmenmarkt square adds a charming atmosphere. If you’re planning to visit in the evening, it’s definitely recommended to make a reservation, as the place fills up quickly — especially on warm nights. All in all, a solid and satisfying place to experience Bavarian culture right in the middle of Berlin. Definitely worth a visit!

5 Star Rating If you want authentic Bavarian food this place is excellent. The setting is aesthetic, the background music isn’t too loud. The food and beverages are really well priced and considering the quality you get that’s a huge selling point. The Edelstoff, which is freshly served from a newly tapped wooden barrel at 1800 is superb and well worth a try!

2 Star Rating The food was great and delicious however I was really disappointed with the waiter’s attitude and rude behaviour towards guests. I can’t believe such a rude person would be able to work in a fine dining restaurant like this and make all the chef effort pointless! Overall I didn’t enjoy my time in there although the food was brilliant just because of the waiter’s attitude!

5 Star Rating Next to the Westin grand hotel. Nice lunch set menu. The service is friendly and attend to detail. The food is well prepared with freshness bread with different selection. Melon cold soup to open the taste buds. The cod fish is grilled and then baked with the right seasoning to reach the right tenderness. The service makes the overall experience nicely presented. With the espresso as the finale, The smile of the waitress also beautifully endorsed the Italian style of service. Well done!! 😉

5 Star Rating Update: wow. Order the chicken thigh (Coscia d’anatra). It was just perfect. The restaurant is located in a very nice area in Berlin, very central and well connected. The staff is very attentive and friendly, offering a very nice service. The food was very good, but the star of the show for me was the bread they serve with pasta. It’s simply fantastic. 5 Star Rating The Austrian restaurant was wonderfully welcoming, its service attentive yet relaxed, just as you would hope for in a place of this standard. Each dish was delicious, but the true highlight came at the end — apple strudel, served with cream, that felt like the perfect sweet memory to carry away. Best I have eaten.

5 Star Rating Very friendly and accommodating toward Americans! The vibe and atmosphere was similar to a diner, however, the food was of the highest quality and delicious. The Schnitzel was massive and tasty. The Goulash was surprisingly good, tender, and hearty. The bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent and very friendly. Never rushed or ignored. It’s walking distance from the gates, a very safe and authentic place for a meal in Berlin. Not very crowded and no reservations required.

2 Star Rating Afternoon tea disappointing. Service was lovely, staff pleasant but food was not good. eur29 for Hunks of toasted bread with avocado and cream cheese on them. The stalest most dense dry scone I've ever had, couldn't cut it with knife, didn't crumble either was more than stale solid dense mass of dough, the cakes were slices of dry dense loaf cakes. Even accounting for differences in afternoon tea content the food quality just wasn't good. On the plus side the Darjeeling tea was fresh leaf, served in a pot and lovely.

5 Star Rating To be honest, I was a bit worried after reading a rather negative review from a month ago and even thought about choosing another restaurant. But since this place was only a few minutes’ walk from where I was, I decided to give it a try—and it turned out to be the perfect choice!! The menu has a QR code that brings up a multilingual version with clear pictures and descriptions. The beer recommended by the waiter Kilian paired perfectly with the crispy pork knuckle I ordered. My husband’s Berlin-style sausage and potato salad came in just the right portion. The food was truly delicious, and the beer hit the spot. To finish, the apple strudel was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Absolutely recommend it!! 👍👍

4 Star Rating Quite an interesting experience for an Aussie. The menu is in a 1920’s style newspaper and the clothes most of the servers wore were also 1920’s style. Fortunately, the menu had English subtitles for the primarily traditional German food (as one would expect). There is outdoor seating available where a lot of smokers sit so I sat indoors which was quite cozy. I ordered a simple salad with chicken breast and a Caesar dressing. Bread was supplied as a courtesy on the side. My salad was fresh but mainly lettuce and a little more chicken would have helped. I’m not a big eater but I left feeling I needed something else, especially with the marathon coming up in a few days. I hadn’t intended to include a tip as this is something we only do in Australia for exceptional service but I was strongly encouraged to do so. Seems such an ‘American thing’ where it expected to subside the poor wages there. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The smell of the restaurant was amazing. Service was absolutely incredibly from start to finish and we have Daniel to thank for that - he was fantastic throughout. 4 Star Rating The meat options are great and delicious! I took the flanksteak medium-rare 350g and it was very juicy. The beer could be a bit colder. The 4 stars is because they made some mistakes eith the cooking level of the meat and prices, but I guess It's also because you are in one of the nicest areas of Berlin. The restaurant is quite cozy and the staff was very kind.

4 Star Rating I'm a bit shocked that the many applications from the previous owner, Intermezzo, have now been combined???? It's not right and deceives the guests! Not fair. Well, I can't agree with Mr. Gr.! I go there regularly during my break and have to ask for small portions (for noodles and rice), and the prices are cheap, even lunchtime prices, like everywhere else...fish and meat dishes are 7-8 euros. Anyone can see for themselves. Some people are just not fair in their ratings...sad. It's a nice cafeteria with a café feel...that's the impression I got from my colleagues and the company next door 😉 Google doesn't make it easy to update! Intermezzo-Berlin has been permanently closed since the end of 2023!!!! The current cafeteria has a different name! Maybe someone can change that.

2 Star Rating A canteen that has only had a new operator since 2024. The prices are unfortunately a bit higher than at other canteens in the area. The food preparation is also rather average. The meatballs with Balkan-style sauce were nothing more than frozen gypsy dumplings. Hardly anything is freshly cooked here. The staff changes frequently, but is usually quite friendly. The canteen is used by employees of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, but is also open to anyone from outside. Ministry employees receive a small discount. Otherwise, the canteen appears clean from the outside. But I've tried different dishes several times now and haven't been particularly impressed. Even though there are four different dishes daily, one of which is a soup. My conclusion: You can eat here, but you don't have to. It's enough for a hot meal in a pinch.
