Vegetarian tasting menu and non alcoholic drinks flight for me this time.
The food was sensational and the pairings were perfection.
The service was excellent and the place had a great vibe. Fantastic team.
Get a taxi there as the door is not obvious!

We had so much fun! I highly recommend the wine pairing. I am sober and was thrilled to see that they had a full non-alcoholic wine pairing (which included many homemade NA wines). It was an absolutely beautiful and delicious dinner. The service was top notch and the atmosphere reminded me of a NY speakeasy as we arrived at the bar. The upstairs dining area was much more vibrant and festive. Everyone seemed to be smiling and enjoying themselves. All of my dinner companions were not vegan/veg but raved about the whole dining experience. Being a vegan and sharing such a lovely experience with them felt amazing. 10/10 will go again!

*5/5 Stars*
Cookies Cream exceeded all expectations! The 7-course vegetarian menu was a culinary masterpiece, with innovative dishes that delighted every sense. The wine pairing was exquisite, perfectly complementing each course.
Michel, our waiter, was phenomenal - knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. His passion for the food and wine shone through, making the experience even more special.
Returning to Cookies Cream was a thrill, and it lived up to its previous wonderful experiences. Can't wait to come back and indulge again!

I had an incredible experience with the 7-course tasting menu. Everything was prepared with great care, the food pairing was impeccable and the service and table service was very pleasant. If you want to have a memorable experience, go to Cookies Cream. It will definitely be a restaurant I will return to when I visit Berlin.

Highly recommend. It was lovely. A little tricky to find - but follow the alley next to the Westin Hotel. We could only get a reservation at short notice for 4 courses so didn’t get to taste the 7 courses but it was greys nonetheless. Lots of great plant based tastes. Felt wines weren’t that good but still quite decent so perhaps opt for the sommerlier’s wine pairing. Great service with a smile and would like to come back for 7 courses!

We made a reservation at this German restaurant for lunch. The service was okay, but our main dishes were left out initially.
The tartar and schnitzel were delicious, and the portions were generous. However, the seasonal menu of the deer was average.

Borchardt is an exceptional place to celebrate special occasions or have a date. Perfect german food, made of high-quality ingredients, in combination with sweet cocktail and freshly-made bread will gift you one of the best gastronomical experiences of your whole life. Atmosphere is quite fancy, and the food prices are higher than in ordinary places in Berlin, and it is totally justified, given the history of the place and the level of service.
And all I would say — it is definitely worth every spent euro! I would like to visit this place one more time (or ten times more)
Would definitely recommend!
P.s. highly recommend to book a table in advance

Borchardt is a true Berlin classic! We had the Wiener Schnitzel – golden, crispy, and absolutely delicious – and the steak tartare, which had a fresh and original flavor. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening. Prices are a bit high, but for the taste and experience, it’s definitely worth it!
SEZER BULUT - a month ago
Really tasty dishes, although the EUR 14 truffle extra didn’t add any flavor, and the service took a bit to warm up. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the meal.

Traditional german restaurant. Service was very nice. I had the famous veal schnitzel, with cranberries and hot potato salad. Prices on the higher end, but worth every euro.

We were super happy to find this traditional informal beer hall. It was exactly what I was looking for in Berlin - lively recorded German music, good beer, decent goulash and beef consommé and moderate pricing. However, when we went back the second time, the waitress chose the tip percentage for me which I did not appreciate. I felt taken advantage of due to the language barrier.

This is my 3rd time dining here in this restaurant. Visited today evening for dinner around 6.30pm (10th Nov 2025) I must agree that the food is super authentic and delicious. However service is horrendous. We were very unfortunate to be served by the manager of the restaurant (a tall big guy with glasses). When we gave our order, we said we will share our roasted pork knuckle because the serving is way too big for one person. He then replied "if you need extra plate and cutleries we will charge you extra 7.50 Euro". I explained to him that we do not need to have extra plate or cutleries because we both can share the dish and use the same cutleries. He looked at us with a discriminative facial expression. He could have just acknowledge my request and move on. Why would I pay you additional 7.50 Euro for extra plate and cutleries AUGUSTINER????? This represent your greediness in money making business. It doesn't make sense at all ...! I ordered extra maiyonnes on the side and it didn't come until I reminded a waiter and the manager brought the item to our table without basic manners of saying "sorry for the delay" and threw the sauce on our table. How despicable of him being in customer service industry! Before I pay my bill, I informed another staff to get me the supervisor or manager because I would like to have a word with him/her and to my surprise, the guy I despise was the manager. I told him that I did not enjoy his hospitality and service at all. I shut him off immediately because I cannot bare to speak to and look at a person who doesn't value his customers. He then said "WHY DO YOU LOOK FOR ME IF YOU DONT WANT TO TALK TO ME?". I replied if I knew you were the manager, I would not have asked for you in the first place. I further requested him by saying pls get someone else to bring me the bill but not him! Congratulations AUGUSTINER for having staff like this. Basic courtesy is so basic that your own manager is lack off. I would have not create a scene if he is friendly and approachable. Good luck to your business!

Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt is a must-visit in Berlin! I stopped in for a few beers and they were absolutely fantastic and fresh, perfectly poured, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with that classic Bavarian charm right in the heart of the city. The service was spectacular, all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If you’re in Berlin and love great beer, this place won’t disappoint! 🍻

A great spot right in the heart of Berlin with a pleasant view and authentic Bavarian atmosphere. Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt offers a truly traditional beer garden experience, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy classic German food and drinks in a beautiful outdoor setting.
The service was very polite and attentive — all the staff we encountered spoke English, which made ordering and asking questions very easy. The menu offers standard Bavarian fare like schnitzel, sausages, potato salad, and pretzels, accompanied by freshly tapped Augustiner beer — brewed in Munich since 1328. Everything was served fresh and quickly, and the portion sizes were generous.
One of the highlights of this place is the outdoor seating area during the summer months. With checkered blue-and-white tablecloths and plenty of shade from umbrellas, it’s a great place to relax and watch the evening go by. The view toward the Gendarmenmarkt square adds a charming atmosphere.
If you’re planning to visit in the evening, it’s definitely recommended to make a reservation, as the place fills up quickly — especially on warm nights.
All in all, a solid and satisfying place to experience Bavarian culture right in the middle of Berlin. Definitely worth a visit!

It was one the best dinner with my husband! We had a wonderful time together in Bocca di Bacco! The staff is very friendly, helpful and always around. Our waiter Giovanni was amazing! Excellent service and attitude!
The food itself is more than tasty! You really want to try as much as possible! We really had a feeling that we are in Italy!

The food was great and delicious however I was really disappointed with the waiter’s attitude and rude behaviour towards guests. I can’t believe such a rude person would be able to work in a fine dining restaurant like this and make all the chef effort pointless!
Overall I didn’t enjoy my time in there although the food was brilliant just because of the waiter’s attitude!

Next to the Westin grand hotel. Nice lunch set menu. The service is friendly and attend to detail. The food is well prepared with freshness bread with different selection. Melon cold soup to open the taste buds. The cod fish is grilled and then baked with the right seasoning to reach the right tenderness. The service makes the overall experience nicely presented. With the espresso as the finale, The smile of the waitress also beautifully endorsed the Italian style of service. Well done!! 😉

Update: wow. Order the chicken thigh (Coscia d’anatra). It was just perfect.
The restaurant is located in a very nice area in Berlin, very central and well connected. The staff is very attentive and friendly, offering a very nice service. The food was very good, but the star of the show for me was the bread they serve with pasta. It’s simply fantastic.
Overall a nice experience and well recommended!

The Austrian restaurant was wonderfully welcoming, its service attentive yet relaxed, just as you would hope for in a place of this standard. Each dish was delicious, but the true highlight came at the end — apple strudel, served with cream, that felt like the perfect sweet memory to carry away. Best I have eaten.

The place was super nice and comfortable, loved the Macha it was sweet and great, I too the Benedict, my friends took some other meals with bread, super full and ready for the day.
I have some feelings about the food, but overall not bad.

Stopped here for a drink and was delighted.
My partner and I had some spare time so we decided to stop for a beer and a glass of wine.
The server was very polite and prompt. Our drinks were perfect and the food of those around us looked great. (We would have eaten here but we already had other plans).
Would recommend stopping by if you have some spare time or in need of a recommendation.
Would love to come back! Thank you.

Very friendly and accommodating toward Americans! The vibe and atmosphere was similar to a diner, however, the food was of the highest quality and delicious. The Schnitzel was massive and tasty. The Goulash was surprisingly good, tender, and hearty. The bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent and very friendly. Never rushed or ignored. It’s walking distance from the gates, a very safe and authentic place for a meal in Berlin. Not very crowded and no reservations required.

Afternoon tea disappointing. Service was lovely, staff pleasant but food was not good. eur29 for Hunks of toasted bread with avocado and cream cheese on them. The stalest most dense dry scone I've ever had, couldn't cut it with knife, didn't crumble either was more than stale solid dense mass of dough, the cakes were slices of dry dense loaf cakes. Even accounting for differences in afternoon tea content the food quality just wasn't good. On the plus side the Darjeeling tea was fresh leaf, served in a pot and lovely.

To be honest, I was a bit worried after reading a rather negative review from a month ago and even thought about choosing another restaurant. But since this place was only a few minutes’ walk from where I was, I decided to give it a try—and it turned out to be the perfect choice!!
The menu has a QR code that brings up a multilingual version with clear pictures and descriptions. The beer recommended by the waiter Kilian paired perfectly with the crispy pork knuckle I ordered. My husband’s Berlin-style sausage and potato salad came in just the right portion. The food was truly delicious, and the beer hit the spot. To finish, the apple strudel was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Absolutely recommend it!! 👍👍

Quite an interesting experience for an Aussie. The menu is in a 1920’s style newspaper and the clothes most of the servers wore were also 1920’s style. Fortunately, the menu had English subtitles for the primarily traditional German food (as one would expect). There is outdoor seating available where a lot of smokers sit so I sat indoors which was quite cozy. I ordered a simple salad with chicken breast and a Caesar dressing. Bread was supplied as a courtesy on the side. My salad was fresh but mainly lettuce and a little more chicken would have helped. I’m not a big eater but I left feeling I needed something else, especially with the marathon coming up in a few days. I hadn’t intended to include a tip as this is something we only do in Australia for exceptional service but I was strongly encouraged to do so. Seems such an ‘American thing’ where it expected to subside the poor wages there. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The food was really tasty and the service was also very good. They serve the usual traditional food from Germany and Berlin, but presenting the menu as an old newspaper was a creative touch. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for authentic German food. I'm craving their apfelstrudel with vanilla cream again 🤤

This was the best meal I had in Berlin. Our server Amir was fantastic - so personable, friendly, and honestly the bright spot of my visit here! Really made my night!
The food was decent and the atmosphere was casual but also nice ( just a bit noisy due to the acoustics). I’ve attached “Before” and “After” pics of our tomahawk steak, which we finished on the hot stone! (FYI we requested the steak rare so we could cook it to our taste, so don’t be alarmed!)
Meal was 180 including a bottle of wine, tomahawk ribeye and three sides

Burger was really delicious, lots of items inside and on the side. Crispy onion, carameluzed onion, bacon, herbs, cheese and sauce, also chips on the side. Portion was big enough for an adult, could not finish.
The only point is with the steak we ordered, there was *no side veg, sauce, etc.* with fillet steak. No mushroom sauce, no veggies, nothing, and steak must go with sides.
But it was very soft and juicy.

Very calm and peaceful place to get a taste full bite of meat, also enough vegan options. Also pretty cheap for this quality of food.
Service was amazing. sweet but profesional staff!

We arrived at the restaurant as a group of nine. We were warmly welcomed with a smile and seated at a large side table. We ordered steaks, which were excellent—especially since we could control the doneness with the hot stone. The burger was decent, and even the dessert was a pleasant surprise. What truly made the experience outstanding was Daniel, our waiter, who provided quick and friendly service.

I'm a bit shocked that the many applications from the previous owner, Intermezzo, have now been combined???? It's not right and deceives the guests! Not fair.
Well, I can't agree with Mr. Gr.! I go there regularly during my break and have to ask for small portions (for noodles and rice), and the prices are cheap, even lunchtime prices, like everywhere else...fish and meat dishes are 7-8 euros. Anyone can see for themselves. Some people are just not fair in their ratings...sad.
It's a nice cafeteria with a café feel...that's the impression I got from my colleagues and the company next door 😉
Google doesn't make it easy to update! Intermezzo-Berlin has been permanently closed since the end of 2023!!!! The current cafeteria has a different name! Maybe someone can change that.

A canteen that has only had a new operator since 2024.
The prices are unfortunately a bit higher than at other canteens in the area. The food preparation is also rather average. The meatballs with Balkan-style sauce were nothing more than frozen gypsy dumplings.
Hardly anything is freshly cooked here.
The staff changes frequently, but is usually quite friendly.
The canteen is used by employees of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, but is also open to anyone from outside. Ministry employees receive a small discount. Otherwise, the canteen appears clean from the outside.
But I've tried different dishes several times now and haven't been particularly impressed. Even though there are four different dishes daily, one of which is a soup.
My conclusion: You can eat here, but you don't have to. It's enough for a hot meal in a pinch.
