This place looks amazing. Great for cocktails, finger food or a big piece of stake. We ordered the ribs and thought we got the wrong dishes because it was huge :)

We were disappointed. The place was more run down than expected and the food disappointing. The pizza was OK but the pasta was bland and very greasy. I ordered what appeared to be (on the German menu) potato skins. The Cheese Skins turned out to be baked potatoes... I will take the hit for that. We left about half the meal on the plate.. paid and left. Won't return and would not really recommend it.

Went here for dinner on our first night in Berlin, was a great place and the food was amazing!! Staff were so kind and made it a great experience! Definitely recommend going if you go to Berlin☺️

DO NOT ORDER THE ENCHILADAS, there was something terribly wrong with them, I wasn’t expecting authentic tex mex but it was literally plain chicken in a tortilla with some plain tomato sauce on top, just something in it tasted chemically or expired, I had to spit it out after one bite. Luckily after explaining that I didn’t just dislike it there was something wrong with it I was allowed to choose a different dish instead. The vibes and decorations are fun. Burger was good milkshake was good and fries were ok tho very greasy and lacked salt. It’s fun to visit for the vibes and aesthetic but some dishes definitely need improvement in quality.

We had lunch here and the food is nice. There’s a curious happy hour with dishes for 9,50€ each. Prices of drinks are Berlin normal ones. The thing is we ordered two Coca Colas and we received two glasses with “cola”, but obviously it wasn’t original Coca Cola. So…soft drinks should be cheaper for sure…The service is very nice but the local needs to be refurbished a lot. Manu sofas are broken, the local and glasses weren’t that clean…I guess they need more hands.Good idea if you want to have lunch with cheap prices!

So the beer is very good, but that doesn’t make up for the fact they are very understaffed. We wanted to order the tasting flight but apparently you can’t choose your own beer, it’s a fixed mix of beer of their choice. Disappointing because why have so many beers that would be enjoyable to try but they are not part of their flight. Food was mediocre for the price, definitely room for improvement.

a lovely restaurant I’m Berlin for some delicious and authentic food! We were brought here at the end of our food tour by our guide and it did not disappoint. The ambience is lovely, and the is both indoor and shaded outdoor seating available. Great place for beer too! Many many varieties. We ordered a beer flight and cherry spritz, as well as Cherry juicy for non -alcoholic preferences. Lovely drinks! We ordered a popular dish called tarte flambe , would definitely recommend, it’s think and topped with cheese and meat. The swarian cheese spatzle was amazing, so cheesy and indulgent. To top it off, we got the “pork knuckle ”, I haven’t had this delicious meat in a while. The quantity is really large so perfect to share. Overall a wonderful experience , would come again .

A friend of us, recommend this place as a local attraction. The place it is not really appealing but it is a good place to have a rest after a day of tourism. Roasted pork with souercrout is a hit. Beer is good. Go for it but do not expect gourmet food

We signed up for a brewery tour as one of the excursions which Viking cruise took us here! When we arrived at 7:00 PM, it’s almost full house already. So do make reservations if you like to come! The pork knuckles they served was one of the most tender one we had for my wife and I been in the Germany for over 10 days now! We drink Pilsner beer and bocks beer, both are pretty good! Then we have a brewery tour and beer testing which I am not too fond of their dark beer! I it was a very interesting evening. If I come back to Berlin again I will definitely come here to have a few beer and a meal.

I love tapas and this restaurant is definitely a very good one for it! Very nice and friendly service with a great environment and a huge variety of good tapas options on the menu. The size of the portions could be a bit bigger tho, to serve more people on the table in a better way. As usual and not necessarily a complaint about this restaurant, the bill may come a bit expensive as it is normal to usually order multiple tapas to share with the people on the table… If you get the restaurant full, it might be a bit uncomfortable as the space between the tables is quite narrow. But it is overall a very nice experience and i will definitely come back next time in Berlin!

Very disappointing, expected much better given the ratings on Google. The pork cheek was dry, the roasted cauliflower did not have the char and tasted more like it was blanched, and the cheese omelette plain. Service staff were cheerful and attentive, atmosphere was lively however. Food was the main letdown here by far.

This place is popular. Make sure you make reservations ahead. We got lucky and went in early to get a table. Its super busy even on weekdays. The tapas are delicious. They remind me the days in Spain.

A bit touristy but great food and service. The manchego cheese is amazing but the cold cuts felt a bit cheap. Dates in bacon are highly recommended, salted potatoes also. The tables are tiny so it would be a great place for wine and snacks, not much more.

Sat outside and had curryweirst with chips. The food was hot although the chips were a bit strange. Good selection of drinks, service wasn't bad I think they could have interacted a bit more with the customers. We didn't get a good feeling when we didnt give a service tip. Worth visiting but we wouldn't be back sorry.

So so good. My South African brother and I had 3 days in Berlin to hang out. Kilkenny served us the best beer and and meat of the whole time with the greatest service of the 3 days with rugby on the big screens.

Didn’t have food but it looked great. Great atmosphere watching the rugby, staff were great and the Guinness excellent. Also, a great stopping point on the way to the airport with the train station right above the pub and a direct train there!

I was able to spontaneously celebrate my birthday and make a reservation for over 30 people 3 days in advance. Jim was amazing and everyone was kind and attentive. I’ll be happy to go back, whether it is for a beer with a friend or to celebrate with many. Thanks for having us!

Do not come here without cash. They will not accept card payments unless the bill is €30 or more. I was a solo tourist and my bill came to €26.90. I have travelled across Europe and had never come across this until now, €30 minimum is not really normal. Otherwise, my food was nice and I appreciated the friendliness of the waitress (despite the payment rules) and outdoor seating area.

Their salad is fresh and tasty. French fries is well seasoned and very crispy. Beefsteak dishes are quality. You can either sit inside or outside with great view.

I love Germany very much, und Berlin in particular this city is incredibly dear and precious to me. This time, I invited my friends to visit me in Berlin, and honestly, I was a bit nervous because I really wanted everything to go perfectly for them But my worries were completely unnecessary. We had an amazing experience at Block House! The service was truly exceptional. We were served by a German lady with glasses, so unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was incredibly polite, genuinely cultured, and full of energy 🥰 Ja, she welcomed us so warmly n made sure everything was perfect from start to finish The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly. To top it all off, they even gave a small toy gift to our child 😍- such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made our visit feel even more special. We were genuinely impressed and deeply touched by the entire experience. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!!!

First time ordering the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The potato gratin was also a nice change from the usually amazing baked potato and sour cream. My friends loved their steaks as well. Our waiter was also a breath of fresh air. Always a good experience at block house

Oxymoron in Berlin is a total gem! Tucked away in the beautiful Hackesche Höfe, the vibe is cozy and stylish with a touch of vintage charm. Recently, my friends and I visited Oxymoron in Berlin, and our experience was excellent. The restaurant is located in one of the beautiful inner courtyards of Hackescher Hof, very close to Hackescher Markt station, making it easily accessible while still being quiet and away from the crowds. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful, elegant, and cozy atmosphere. The interior is spacious, with a unique blend of modern and classic styles, creating a relaxing ambiance. The service was impeccable – the staff was friendly, quick, and always ready to recommend dishes and wines that suited our tastes. The menu offers European and Central European flavors with interesting Asian influences, which immediately caught our attention. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were well-prepared, made with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. I personally tried the risotto, which was outstanding, with a velvety texture and a perfect balance of flavors. We were also particularly impressed by the vegetarian and vegan options, which were excellent and lacked nothing in taste. The wine pairing suggested by the staff complemented our meal perfectly, enhancing our overall experience. The prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. We left completely satisfied, both with the meal and the atmosphere. Very quaint in the old-fashioned but charming way. It was empty when we went, but started to pick up as we were leaving. Service was great. The food was good as well - lots of different options to choose from. Outside seating was available as well. I would recommend going right when they open or at least not during rush hour.

The food was amazing, the place just lovely and the location is great. But the two things that made this extraordinary were the music and Lorenzo (our waiter)! The service was super fast even though the restaurant was full, everything with a smile and a joke 😁 The Pizzas are big, tasty, with thin dough and a lot of cheese - just how I love them. I recommend the fettuccine with salmon and Gorgonzola souse, it was delicious!

I stopped here for dinner and had the Beef Romulade. It was very good. The meat was very tender though slightly under seasoned. Very Large portions so you will not leave hungry! Service was pleasant. They automatically charge a small gratuity for the table service (~5%). Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Felt very local and nice especially with the age of the building! It is CASH ONLY. So be prepared. Overall good restaurant with traditional German cuisine!

Recommended by an American friend who lives a few months a year in Berlin, excellent suggestion. My wife had the devil's schnitzel, I had the goulash, and both were delicious. Potato soup to start was perfect. We did not realize there was an outside area to eat but it would not have mattered for us because it was 3° out and we needed someplace warm. The inside space was quaint, pictures on the walls, an old-fashioned cash register, only a few tables and beer taps that look like they have been there forever
