This is a unique place! This is built as an American diner in the 60s and they have taken this theme really really seriously! And yes I’m talking about the huge portion sizes and they are American portions sizes! We were naive to order starters but there was absolutely no need! If you are really hungry you would love it even more and also they already tell you you can pack it if not able to finish! For the portion sizes it’s actually cheap! I recommend the chicken with mushroom sauce!

Not for vegetarians. Fries partly not done, 1 vegetarian burger on the menue with half the weight and half-raw slice of zucchini on it. Medium dome burger still dry. Staff seems nice, bathroom floor will try to keep your shoes.

What a great experience!
I read a lot of reviews of people complaining, so I wasn’t really expecting this; by this I mean, amazing service, great food, American sized portions and a very pretty and cozy interior!
We will definitely be back!

This place looks amazing. Great for cocktails, finger food or a big piece of stake. We ordered the ribs and thought we got the wrong dishes because it was huge :)

So the beer is very good, but that doesn’t make up for the fact they are very understaffed. We wanted to order the tasting flight but apparently you can’t choose your own beer, it’s a fixed mix of beer of their choice. Disappointing because why have so many beers that would be enjoyable to try but they are not part of their flight. Food was mediocre for the price, definitely room for improvement.

a lovely restaurant I’m Berlin for some delicious and authentic food!
We were brought here at the end of our food tour by our guide and it did not disappoint.
The ambience is lovely, and the is both indoor and shaded outdoor seating available. Great place for beer too! Many many varieties.
We ordered a beer flight and cherry spritz, as well as Cherry juicy for non -alcoholic preferences. Lovely drinks!
We ordered a popular dish called tarte flambe , would definitely recommend, it’s think and topped with cheese and meat.
The swarian cheese spatzle was amazing, so cheesy and indulgent.
To top it off, we got the “pork knuckle ”, I haven’t had this delicious meat in a while. The quantity is really large so perfect to share.
Overall a wonderful experience , would come again .

A friend of us, recommend this place as a local attraction. The place it is not really appealing but it is a good place to have a rest after a day of tourism. Roasted pork with souercrout is a hit. Beer is good. Go for it but do not expect gourmet food
Roberto Illari - 3 weeks ago
We signed up for a brewery tour as one of the excursions which Viking cruise took us here!
When we arrived at 7:00 PM, it’s almost full house already. So do make reservations if you like to come!
The pork knuckles they served was one of the most tender one we had for my wife and I been in the Germany for over 10 days now!
We drink Pilsner beer and bocks beer, both are pretty good!
Then we have a brewery tour and beer testing which I am not too fond of their dark beer!
I it was a very interesting evening. If I come back to Berlin again I will definitely come here to have a few beer and a meal.

Fantastic Spanish tapas bar in Berlin! Everything was delicious, fast, and full of interesting flavor combinations - the authentic presentation really transports you straight to Barcelona. Excellent product quality, great wines and an impressive wine selection overall. A fun, warm atmosphere and truly great service. It’s best to reserve a table on weekends. Highly recommend!

I love tapas and this restaurant is definitely a very good one for it!
Very nice and friendly service with a great environment and a huge variety of good tapas options on the menu.
The size of the portions could be a bit bigger tho, to serve more people on the table in a better way.
As usual and not necessarily a complaint about this restaurant, the bill may come a bit expensive as it is normal to usually order multiple tapas to share with the people on the table…
If you get the restaurant full, it might be a bit uncomfortable as the space between the tables is quite narrow.
But it is overall a very nice experience and i will definitely come back next time in Berlin!

The food and service was so good two years ago I had to come back! And it didn’t disappoint at all ☺️ this place is AMAZING. A must go when in Berlin - the quality of food is brilliant, staff are awesome and the vibe is lovely. Thanks for another great visit!

Yosoy is a lively Spanish tapas bar right in the heart of Berlin, and my visit there left a really good impression overall. The atmosphere is vibrant and warm, just like a real tapas spot in Spain—lots of happy chatter, clinking glasses, and communal energy. It can get quite crowded, so a reservation is smart, but even when busy, the service feels attentive and genuinely friendly. The menu has a big range of both classic and inventive tapas, including plenty of vegetarian options. The ingredients are fresh, and most dishes deliver on flavor—standouts were the padrón peppers and the tortilla. The wine list has nice Spanish selections, and the staff are knowledgeable about what pairs well with the food. I especially appreciated the multilingual service and small personal touches, like a complimentary digestif at the end.The only real downside is the tight seating, which makes it a bit noisy and sometimes hard to linger. Some dishes, while tasty, weren’t quite as memorable as the best tapas in Spain, and prices are slightly on the higher side for Berlin—but the quality and experience justify it.All in all, Yosoy is a top choice for a fun evening with friends if you’re craving authentic Spanish vibes and good tapas in Berlin. Four stars: not perfect, but very close, and absolutely worth a visit for a great night out.

A great tapas spot! Definitely very crowded in there, they stack you on top of other guests! Many different tapas options; we got the cold starter plate (basically a charcuterie board). The goat cheese and raspberry jam was awesome. The server even helped to do some wine pairings with the food! Not a lot of meat heavy options.

Sat outside and had curryweirst with chips. The food was hot although the chips were a bit strange. Good selection of drinks, service wasn't bad I think they could have interacted a bit more with the customers.
We didn't get a good feeling when we didnt give a service tip.
Worth visiting but we wouldn't be back sorry.

Amazing focaccia and pizza! Really authentic Italian — they even bring their ingredients from Italy. The service is super friendly too.

Do not come here without cash. They will not accept card payments unless the bill is €30 or more. I was a solo tourist and my bill came to €26.90. I have travelled across Europe and had never come across this until now, €30 minimum is not really normal.
Otherwise, my food was nice and I appreciated the friendliness of the waitress (despite the payment rules) and outdoor seating area.

I love Germany very much, und Berlin in particular this city is incredibly dear and precious to me.
This time, I invited my friends to visit me in Berlin, and honestly, I was a bit nervous because I really wanted everything to go perfectly for them
But my worries were completely unnecessary.
We had an amazing experience at Block House! The service was truly exceptional. We were served by a German lady with glasses, so unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was incredibly polite, genuinely cultured, and full of energy 🥰
Ja, she welcomed us so warmly n made sure everything was perfect from start to finish
The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly.
To top it all off, they even gave a small toy gift to our child 😍- such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made our visit feel even more special.
We were genuinely impressed and deeply touched by the entire experience.
We’ll definitely be coming back again.
Highly recommended!!!

First time ordering the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The potato gratin was also a nice change from the usually amazing baked potato and sour cream. My friends loved their steaks as well. Our waiter was also a breath of fresh air. Always a good experience at block house

This steakhouse offers excellent, tender, and high-quality meat with delicious side dishes. I highly recommend the filet paired with creamy potato—absolutely fantastic! They also have a great variety of vegan options, making it a perfect choice for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service attentive, creating a wonderful dining experience overall. Definitely worth a visit!

ATMOSPHERE:
Elegant decor inside, nice outdoor seating in a courtyard setting.
BEVERAGE:
Berliner Beer
Good with a light taste.
FOOD:
Ravioli
Delish. Chantrells, truffle oil & pecorino cheese.
Risotto
Avoid. Done with arborio green peas, leek, broad beans, parmesan cheese & pig. It was tasteless, sauceless, and the risotto was undercooked.
OVERALL:
We had a nice time with our local friends. Maybe we ordered the wrong food, but that's what we were craving and were disappointed.

Very quaint in the old-fashioned but charming way. It was empty when we went, but started to pick up as we were leaving. Service was great. The food was good as well - lots of different options to choose from. Outside seating was available as well. I would recommend going right when they open or at least not during rush hour.

We went on a Wednesday night.
We asked for a table of three and were squeezed in at a table at the back.
We then waited
And waited
For a menu
We then had to get the attention of the what seemed to be only person serving to order food.
Drinks came quickly but are of a small size.
We asked for starters and mains. Half starters served and the told would be two mins for the rest.
No cutlery provided
Ten minutes later remaining starters and mains put on table. Had to ask for cutlery.
The food however is very nice.
Asked for bill then numerous staff members came to see how we were… chasing a tip?
Overall the food is let down by the service, I would go back but only if it wasn’t busy or they sorted the waiting staff.

The restaurant serves traditional German cuisine, featuring dishes like pork knuckle, schnitzel, and goulash. While the food is hearty and satisfying, it leans towards the classic rather than the exceptional. Complementing the meals is a good selection of wines, served at the perfect temperature, enhancing the overall dining experience.

We had a lovely lunch at Sophie’s 11 — the schnitzel was really tasty and the atmosphere felt cozy and local. Cash only, so be sure to come prepared! The woman who served us had the most amazing energy — so kind, joyful, and attentive. She truly brightened our day. Thank you, and we’d definitely come back!

Food was delicious! Service was good! We had the veal schnitzel with mushrooms and potatoes and smoked pork with beer sauce and potatoes and it was all very tasty! We usually enjoy spicy food but really enjoyed the flavors of this very tasty German food! The white German wine also went great with the food. Romantic courtyard atmosphere.

Recommended by an American friend who lives a few months a year in Berlin, excellent suggestion. My wife had the devil's schnitzel, I had the goulash, and both were delicious. Potato soup to start was perfect. We did not realize there was an outside area to eat but it would not have mattered for us because it was 3° out and we needed someplace warm. The inside space was quaint, pictures on the walls, an old-fashioned cash register, only a few tables and beer taps that look like they have been there forever
