A typical German - Berlin restaurant! Food was tasty and the portions were huge ! It’s really a value for money in case you are looking for something traditional and not special . Service was rather slow (you needed to really look for a waiter and try to make your presence visible!) . The atmosphere was good although it was very noisy due to the number of people in the place . I would suggest it if you are looking for something simple , traditionally German-Berliner and value for money place to eat in Berlin

they cheat on tourists that 10% extra service fee are mandatory as Germany lowest one are required charge 10%, but I have lived in Germany for half an year, and that is not true, this make me feel uncomfortable and cheated. Meanwhile, the schnitzelfuß is not so clean~~with some pig fur on it and they give very unreasonable explainment that that is normal. No respect and cheating on tourists. The food is just so so, feel hard to eat, and miserable with beer which is recommended by waiters.

We were super happy to find this traditional informal beer hall. It was exactly what I was looking for in Berlin - lively recorded German music, good beer, decent goulash and beef consommé and moderate pricing. However, when we went back the second time, the waitress chose the tip percentage for me which I did not appreciate. I felt taken advantage of due to the language barrier.

The food tastes authentic and the ambience is great! I would definitely recommend the pork knuckle and the schnitzel, they are delicious! The apple strudel is a must get dessert~
Nga Kei Chen - 2 months ago
Pork knuckles have a hard skin instead of a crispy skin, and it taste dry and very plain. We eventually added a lot of salt to the plate.
Pork neck tastes nothing like pork neck but a regular pork chop which is also overcooked.
Forced to pay 10% tips because the waiter just pressed it without us choosing, and said it is for all the employees who are working hard on Christmas. If the food is good i will pay 15% but this 10% is just not worth it.
Just a tourist place I would say. The atmosphere is good for photos.

Have been here before but never wrote a review. The Schnitzel has always been excellent, and if you come for lunch you won’t need any more food afterwards. I would replace the potato salad with fried potatoes; the cranberry sauce goes perfectly with the Schnitzel. The waiters are very friendly, but the service, for a restaurant of this kind, lacked professionalism (no napkins, no butter knives, and the second beer order was forgotten). Still, I will be back next year.

Borchardt is an exceptional place to celebrate special occasions or have a date. Perfect german food, made of high-quality ingredients, in combination with sweet cocktail and freshly-made bread will gift you one of the best gastronomical experiences of your whole life. Atmosphere is quite fancy, and the food prices are higher than in ordinary places in Berlin, and it is totally justified, given the history of the place and the level of service.
And all I would say — it is definitely worth every spent euro! I would like to visit this place one more time (or ten times more)
Would definitely recommend!
P.s. highly recommend to book a table in advance

Well, it's okay place, for us it was just fun to meet some 'famous' people in Germany. Otherwise it's just a huge canteen with open space, with not bad food. It's very little space between tables. Prices are okay. I took a steak argentine and veggies, steak was ok but not super, veggies was not well prepared.

Borchardt is a true Berlin classic! We had the Wiener Schnitzel – golden, crispy, and absolutely delicious – and the steak tartare, which had a fresh and original flavor. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening. Prices are a bit high, but for the taste and experience, it’s definitely worth it!

Traditional german restaurant. Service was very nice. I had the famous veal schnitzel, with cranberries and hot potato salad. Prices on the higher end, but worth every euro.

Got the pumpkin curry with grilled salmon. It was perfectly hot and savory, a little spicy. Very good on a chilly day. Lots of other good options as well. Had the chicken sate for an appetizer, also very delicious with the peanut sauce.

I’ve heard from that Asian restaurant a lot of good recommendations before so it was time to prove it and I really can say it was a good choice …. The food is awesome there

Very delicious.
Pleasant, attentive staff.
Fast service.
Special thanks to our waitress Shi, who gave us detailed advice about the various dishes.

Great food. We ordered the letem salad (mango avocado one), Gra Pau, and Pad thai with beef (not on the menu), along with green tea.
The food was really good but the Gra Pau was not very spicy (it’s 3 spices on the menu). It was still pretty tasteful. The salad was amazing though!!
Good place if you want a good Thai meal. Service is alright (bit of time to get attention) though our servers were very sweet.

We had a lovely lunch time today at Good Time Restaurant. We tried the crispy duck and yellow chicken curry. The food was extremely delicious. Also, friendly staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back once I visit Berlin again.

Burger was really delicious, lots of items inside and on the side. Crispy onion, carameluzed onion, bacon, herbs, cheese and sauce, also chips on the side. Portion was big enough for an adult, could not finish.
The only point is with the steak we ordered, there was *no side veg, sauce, etc.* with fillet steak. No mushroom sauce, no veggies, nothing, and steak must go with sides.
But it was very soft and juicy.

This was the best meal I had in Berlin. Our server Amir was fantastic - so personable, friendly, and honestly the bright spot of my visit here! Really made my night!
The food was decent and the atmosphere was casual but also nice ( just a bit noisy due to the acoustics). I’ve attached “Before” and “After” pics of our tomahawk steak, which we finished on the hot stone! (FYI we requested the steak rare so we could cook it to our taste, so don’t be alarmed!)
Meal was 180 including a bottle of wine, tomahawk ribeye and three sides

Great steak and good wine. The meat was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The view over the square is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place whilst walking through Berlin. Lovey spot.
The interior is quite modern but a lovely view from your table of some lovely buildings.
Food - delicious. Focus is steak and burgers but veggie options and fish also available.
My burger was 10/10, and my wife had a burrata salad to start (she highly rated it) and a steak salad for her main (also highly rated)
As an added bonus they have some lovely beer too!
The service from Sanket was also great. Friendly, polite and efficient 👍
What more do you want for a quick lunch stop in Berlin!

We passed by here quite by accident. We decided to try soups and we did not regret about it. Everything was delicious and huge. I recommend this place.

The mustard soup was great and so was the blueberry scone! There are spots outside to sit in the sun on a warm day which is also great. The lady at the counter could’ve been nicer though. Otherwise, will definitely come back!

A beautiful Starbucks with a lovely design and great products. The location is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The only opportunity for improvement is that the barista at the register could be a bit friendlier and ask for customers’ names. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

The staff is wonderful. The look of the interior has changed completely with the renovations. It was fine before, but very attractive and inviting now. Food and drinks are always great.

It has a nice view, very central. Big space to be able to sit comfortably. The services can be a bit better, but maybe understandable for Sunday afternoon :)

I like Starbucks. It’s not about coffee, it’s about something else. This place had been renovated recently. Now it has modern interior, clean and staff is always polite. Blonde roast is something I can definitely recommend! ☕️

I enjoy this Starbucks. The staff are quick with orders, and the venue is both English-speaking and German-speaking friendly. They are open on Sundays. For a starbucks the food and drinks are better than most other Starbucks I've been too.

This is the most spectacular salad I have ever had, I went in September and I'm still thinking about it 2 months later. I had this goat cheese salad before a concert then immediately went back the next day to have it again. It is possibly my favourite salad, if I come back to Berlin I will definitely try it again. The service is also so great.

Haven't had food there yet, but the drinks are good and the staff really nice. Perfect location for having a G&T before a concert 👌🏻

Nice location and service but the breakfast was very touristy. The scrambled eggs were ok but missing flavor. The bred rolls came from the fridge and not a backery. The price was ok.

Excellent Rigatoni Gorgonzola, surprising at first as the cheese is melted in the tomato sauce, but Boy ! Was Yummy.

A pleasant spot to sit down for a coffee while walking through Berlin. The coffee is fairly generic and on the bitter side, but still enjoyable. Prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly.

Perfect place for a coffee/snack break
Friendly staffs but a little slow service. Outdoor seating is nice and chill.
I recommend their salad to go or the pasta. E.g. Safran Salat is very tasty.
The pizza is not the greatest, although they are handmade…

Oysters were fresh and served in what is possibly the cutest Octopus bowl i’ve seen yet. Harissa shrimp were wonderful, and the drinks were also top notch. Our server Armando made the evening feel special yet lowkey. Really nice experience overall 🫶🏼

Birthday meal. Was delighted that they decorated the table beautifully. Really made it special. Even if they hadn't, the venue is lovely, and our table was grand with huge candelabra.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. He made sure we had a lovely evening.
Food was great. Kids enjoyed tuna steak, husband's lamb cutlets were pink moisture and delicious. I yummed down the vegetable sides.
I went here for shellfish and was forewarned by reviews that it may not be good. If you have had lobster in restaurants around the world you may be disappointed here. It was dry and tasteless, which for an expensive "treat" meal isn't great.
Meal was finished with aplomb by a lovely raspberry pavlova with pistachio ice cream.
Altogether a great experience.

A truly remarkable night. We went out for our anniversary in a city I'd never visited before. I looked at the menu, I looked at the reviews, I checked recent pictures on Google Places and I feel like I made the second best decision in my life - next to asking my partner to be with me for the rest of our lives.
Austernbank is a truly special place. A cove of comfort food and service that you thought you could only dream of. While the meals were priced a bit higher than what we would usually set our budgets to - it was worth every single Euro.
The food was well portioned, the drinks were delicious and again, we cannot compliment the staff highly enough. We were greeted at the door immediately and our coats taken, tagged and brought to our table in the north east corner. The lighting was lush and almost dreamlike as we descended into the main floor.
After being waited on within minutes, our order was taken swiftly and entrees arrived hastily. We should add that our timing was very early in the evening. We had learnt during our travels places such as Berlin, Paris and Prague do cater to international tourists, however, some places don't start dinner until much later in the evening. We arrived just shortly before 6pm but there were about a dozen or so people in the restaurant already.
The music was lush and the waiters were immediate and busy, but never in a rush - we appreciated that atmosphere and especially more-so when our mains arrived. The waiter also took our photo with my partner's phone and did a great job. Shortly before we finished our desserts, a family arrived just two tables up and we saw them get just the same kind, quick and attentive service. It felt magical and we do hope we can return one day.
We cannot thank you enough for a spectacular meal, an amazing anniversary and an evening to remember.

Was a wonderful New Years Eve in Berlin and we chose to spend it at Austernbank. The evenings entertainment was fun if not spectacular and the DJ kept the evening engaging, the food was better than average, but the service was dismal - taking quite some time to get drinks and only one person allowed to sell and serve the wine..all in all was a good evening but expensive for what it is.
