We found this restaurant while wandering through Berlin. We had been looking for a German restaurant to experience German food. Wow. We so so pleased with this restaurant. We shared a schnitzel with an extra side of sauerkraut followed by an apple strudel. The service was great and the food was way better than our expectations. The location was great for our tour through the sights of Berlin. If given the opportunity we would definitely eat there again.

Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt is a fantastic Bavarian restaurant with an unbeatable location overlooking the beautiful Konzerthaus at Gendarmenmarkt. The atmosphere is warm and traditional, making it a perfect place to enjoy hearty Bavarian cuisine. The potato soup was delicious—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The schnitzel was absolutely massive and perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy inside. Everything we tried was well-prepared and full of authentic taste. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. Whether you’re looking for a great meal, quality beer, or just a cozy spot to soak in the view, this place is a must-visit!

I was recommended this place by a friend who lives in Berlin, and it lived up to the hype!! Upon arrival, the atmoshphere was great, and we really felt the authentic German restaurant vibe we were promised. The staff were great and over the evening they gave us free schnapps. The food was also very good, and it was nice to be eating German food alongside Germans and not tourists.

A nice location with bar atmosphere. My friend and me came the place around 7pm, the hostess guided us find a table and then ordered the food. Everything is just normal. I ordered the pork shoulder and it’s really greasy for me and really large portion for two ppl at least. It’s quite noisy inside, but it’s like a bistro so it’s fine.

A good beer restaurant in traditional German-Bavarian style. We ordered a crispy pork knuckle with fried potatoes to share. The knuckle was exactly how I wanted it—really crispy and very tasty. The portion was huge, and the two of us barely managed to finish it. The draft beer was super fresh. I had a liter of light Augustiner and 0.5 of Edelstoff—both were excellent. My girlfriend had a Radler, and even though she normally doesn’t like beer, she was happy with it too. But there’s one thing that applies to many Berlin restaurants—the waitstaff expecting tips. I’ve never understood or accepted that. If I enjoy the service, I always tip voluntarily without being told. That’s the only reason my rating is 4.5 instead of 5.

Great food - the rest kind of sucked. We both had the schnitzel and agreed it was the best schnitzel we'd ever had. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. The whole restaurant is basically one big table - we were touching elbows with our neighbours. It is also impossible to have any kind of conversation as you can't even hear yourself think! Staff are just run off their feet so service is somewhat slow. All in all - definitely an experience, not necessarily a good one.

What a fun place to visit and take in the vibes. I came from New York for my birthday dinner and it was very appropriate for the occasion. The schnitzel is one of the best things I’ve eaten and I enjoyed it with a pornstar martini. Service was spotty but can be expected from a busy place. Environment is gorgeous and would love to go back

We reserved 8 seats at 10:30pm but the restaurant is crowded. We have to wait around 15 mins to get table (although we reserved) we got the place downstair. Maybe it our fault that didn‘t expect that it gonna be like a club at downstair. The waiter didn’t mention it also. We checked the reviews and it looks like a dining restaurant, but it’s not. So if you want a place for talking and eating pleasantly - not dancing and all over with smoking, don‘t forget to reserve EG floor!! Moreover, we ordered Whiskey sour at the bar but one of them came with decorated fruit but two not, the bar was very busy and the bartender spoke with us not so nice. However, the waiter who took care of our table is nice. The food is ok, schnitzel is huge.

I found the Brasserie randomly when looking for new restaurants I had never been to in Berlin. We had a great experience. The place is nice, the service is good and the food was great. The blood sausage is great, and the steak frites was amazing (it's rare to find proper meat in Germany), especially for the price! The Peche Melba was very nice, with a lot of depth.

Just walked in on the off chance, this was a combined birthday and anniversary night out for us. And I have to say what a pleasure it was the decor is amazing the staff absolutely brilliant and the food was amazing ( well done to the kitchen staff). Yes it is expensive but you pay for what you get. If you are in the area and want a nice night out definitely recommend this place.

We really loved our dinner there tonight, as the food and atmosphere were really good. Our server was very nice but not really attentive after serving us our main course. She completely disappeared and never checked bag on us for over half an hour. My wife had the seafood bouillabaise, which was delicious, and I went more traditional with the blood sausage, which I thought was spectacular! We loved our meal tonight, but the service was very cold and and fell flat as the meal went on.

We had a lovely time here. Everything was really perfect from start to finish. Especially the super attentive service and then obviously the food. The Bouillabaisse is incredible. The depth of flavor while having a big selection of seafood in it was amazing. But also the tartar and the creme brulee were superb. I'll definitely come back for a nice occasion as this restaurant definitely hits the mark :)

Great food. We ordered the letem salad (mango avocado one), Gra Pau, and Pad thai with beef (not on the menu), along with green tea. The food was really good but the Gra Pau was not very spicy (it’s 3 spices on the menu). It was still pretty tasteful. The salad was amazing though!! Good place if you want a good Thai meal. Service is alright (bit of time to get attention) though our servers were very sweet.

Found this restaurant recommendation on trip advisor and so glad we went! Absolutely stunning inside and staff couldn't have been nicer. Having lived in Thailand for a few months, I can honestly say the food was the closest to eating in Thailand I have experienced since leaving... so fragrant and flavourful. I was in the mood for a lychee martini which wasn't on the menu and the barman kindly made us both one on request, despite not having made one before. Amazing experience from start to finish and really busy on a Monday evening which is a great sign! Highly recommend. 🌟

Walked in at 7pm on a Monday, no wait whatsoever, staff was very friendly and spoke English for those that speak only English. Menu was in English as well. I ordered the Sapi Panggang, and was not disappointed. Good food and a good time.

Best private members club in Germany. Beautiful restaurant with view of the Berliner Some. Fire place and cigar smoking allowed. Professional haut cusine and staff.

A pleasant spot to sit down for a coffee while walking through Berlin. The coffee is fairly generic and on the bitter side, but still enjoyable. Prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly.

Tasty lasagna, salad and perfect cocktail. Nice way to wrap up a long day wandering the museums. Bright, comfortable and clean atmosphere. Friendly staff who were kind enough to speak English with me. Would recommend!

I’ve been to this café a few times — it’s a nice, comfortable place that makes you want to come back. The menu is quite large, with plenty of options, and takeaway is available. Service is fairly quick, and the staff are polite and friendly. The prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty. I’ve tried the shakshuka, asparagus soup, salad, and a couple of other dishes — everything was well-prepared and served with care. It’s a lovely café, and I’m happy to recommend it.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very relaxing.. The decor, the fireplace and the classical music it all makes it very nice and cozy. Service is very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious! We had a great evening.

There are different high-class restaurants. This one have their own old German atmosphere and a very tasty fresh dishes. The portions aren't so big, that you can't breathe, but also aren't too small, that you are going away hungry. I think three courses are enough. Also, there is a choice of an old and good alcohol, such as armaniak, Obstler, good vibes and others.

Wow ! What can I say ! simply stunning ... the whole experience was fabulous. My finance booked a surprise evening for my family/friends and I for my 50th Birthday week-end ! The restaurant did an outstanding job and we all loved it from start to finish. All the staff were outstanding - their customer service skills were beyond excellent ! I have to give a shout out to the head waiter who has served at the hotel where the restaurant is for 30 years. The food was absolutely divine and the restaurant setting was stunning. We were a group of 12 , and the entire restaurant team handled us so well. Thank you so much for making my birthday week-end in Berlin so memorable.

We have dined at the Charlotte&Fritz on New Year’s eve. Not only was the food delicious and the wine great, but also the ambience and the service of the personnel could not be any better. The restaurant is equipped with stylish furniture, and nice decorations which we were lucky to enjoy because we visited on the 31/12. The wine made an excellent combination with the aesthetic meals. If you are fond of gourmet food and nice stylish restaurants-Charlotte&Fritz is for you:)

A really nice evening in an impressive, spacious location in the heart of Berlin. Excellent oysters, sensationally good fillet of beef. The apple strudel dessert was too thick in sauce for me personally. Otherwise very fine and recommendable. I will definitely visit the Austernbank again on my next visit to Berlin.

Enjoying Berlin - Fine Dining at the Austernbank Berlin. The Restaurant is located in the former „Safe room“ of a Bank. What an outstanding restaurant, great welcome, creative and classy dishes… from Oysters, to Bouillabaisse and we absolutely did enjoy our Gooselive Crème Brûlée. We will visit this place again - that is for sure.

After several great visits to the restaurant, we went to the New Year's Eve Party. Besides the great interior (an old bank vault), good music (including amazing female singer) and very friendly servers the food was delicious as always - especially the artichoke salad with truffle and lobster - even the request for vegetarian alternative (contacting the restaurant in advance) was no problem. But in particular the host (restaurant manager) was attentive and pleasant, making this an evening/night you'll never forget. A highly recommended restaurant..

Had an amazing dinner. The waiter organized a table for me even if there weren’t any more left. I had the 500g shrimps with Aioli - which were amazing, very fresh and nice sauce😋. And Creme Brulle was very good too. Would definitely come back for the shrimps.

The food is on of the best close to Friedrichstrasse, the prices are fair and the service of the young lady was good! Just petty that the card machine got to work. We had noodles and curry. Both portions was ok and tasted super fresh! Wish they other restaurant in that aria cook same good.

* Food ** Price * Menu Nice little sushi spot. They don’t have a ton of options, but keep it simple which is nice. Variety of salmon and tuna options available in their specials, all for super fair prices! Also quality of fish has been good when I’ve gone. I hear their curries are great but haven’t tried yet. I stick to my salmon combo and add an eel and keep it simple! Great spot for lunch.

Chicken pho was slightly above average. Broth was slightly too oily, and the chicken meat was a little tough. Overall it was still a hearty bowl of pho.
