Really enjoyed it. They offer a genuinely great Italian dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, and the food is consistently delicious. Their pasta dishes and pizzas are standouts, and the service is friendly and attentive. Overall, it's a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommended!

The best Italian restaurant in Berlin! Great place with a comforting terrace and excellent food. The quality of the food is supreme and waiters Walter and Monica gave us an amazing service and awesome recomendations. We will come back the next time we visit Berlin! Gracie mille!!

Sale e Tabacchi is a long-running Italian restaurant nestled in Mitte that exudes its own cozy charm, complete with high ceilings that add to its inviting atmosphere. The food here is authentic and decent, offering a taste of Italy right in the heart of Berlin. One of the highlights for me was discovering that they also serve Bellinis, adding a touch of elegance to the dining experience.

Prices are high. Service are very great. Food is also good. We got our appetizer and drinks very fast. One thing I really didn’t like is that there was no music in the restaurant. At all. When we came it was empty and service was running with the tables around us and making a lot of noise in completely quiet place. Then came a lot of people and restaurant was full. But still no music at the background. Tables are very close to each others. So you can hear everyone’s talk…The interior is old fashion. So in general atmosphere was not that pleasant.

Overall a solid 4 stars, most of the dishes were good although a bit pricey. However, none of the dishes was extraordinary. The restaurant has an old fashion design, the tables are very close to each other and yhe acoustic is not great. Service was ok. Almost no vegan options.

Very interesting and unique food selection and flavors, loved it. Service was great, straight forward and great team all together. Wine selection is good, with some very special items. Hat off to the Sommelier that understands his job and makes the right decisions for clients.

Service was excellent! We really felt like royalty. ~10 portions ~4h of lovely experience . Every round, they changed the entire cutlery “set". Somehow only the women waitresses were carrying the heavy trays… :( Food was nice, creative, but no tastes that swept us off our feet. The menu is fixed you can only pick 1 of 2 ver. We shared, so we tasted both. In our opinion, the price is unreasonable compared to what we got.

I had such a good time! I got invited there as a thank you - never been to such a high end restaurant. I have some restrictions food wise (can't have Milk protein) and I never felt better taken care of and like the staff is really looking out for me. They even called in advance to talk to me about the options and what is possible. Everyone was super attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed.
I loved the food!! Everything was incredibly tasty and there were combinations that just broadened my food horizon. I have no actual comparison on this level, but my company did and they thought the food was outstanding as well. So all over, if you want to do something special, you won't do wrong here ♡

There are no words that can describe this experience. It was our first time at any of the Tim‘s restaurants and we were blown away.
Food was delicious, with such a clear back story. Each bite was a small taste explosion.
The thing that surprised us the most was how attentive the staff was. Always with a smile, and always few steps ahead of us. Chapeau to the whole team!

Our experience started great, starters very very cool, great presentation and amazing tastes. Unfortunately, along the way, especially with the main dishes all of us felt that it was overly salty (2 people had koi menu and 2 people kolibri) and this really impacted our experience. Petite fours were unfortunately big disappointment as well.
Service was fine but lacked attentiveness and not what I would have expected from 2 michelin stars service.
I would certainly be curious to come for a different menu in the future

French bistro with lots of great classic dishes in high quality. All the waiters had lots of charm and was very friendly. It’s a bit on the pricey side but that’s expected from such a place and in downtown Berlin.

I was happily surprised. Probably one of the best meats I had in Berlin.
I was tired of asking for medium rare meats and getting almost well done ones. They delivered it exactly as requested.
Besides, the service was great and very friendly.
They had a big selection of wine as well.
I asked to change my fries to potato puree and it was a great idea. Everything was delicious!
We also had desserts that were very tasty as well!

The food was delicious, but the mussels were too salty. When we mentioned it, they kindly offered us a replacement, but we had already finished our meal. In the end, they gave us a complimentary crème brûlée, which was a lovely gesture. I recommend this place!

A good French restaurant that we visited twice. The food was good and the services were excellent! It gave a good French feel. The first time we went there without booking. We sat in the most inner section of the restaurant. It was hot (high 20C) and there was no air condition. When the other guests left, the atmosphere became cold. We reserved a table for the second time. We sat in the front section and the atmosphere was excellent. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

Great tender and juicy steaks 🥩 I ordered medium-well, and it was perfect: juicy and tender yet cooked, so you don’t feel it’s too raw.
I’m deducting one star because my friend got food-poisoned afterwards as soon as he got home. I was alright though, so must have been something with his steak and luck 😔

We came here for meat and it did not disappoint. The tomahawk was great, served rare with three great sauces (pepper is a must take) and great fries! Wines card includes Argentinian and Spanish wines worth tasting!

Exceptional service from Pablo and Marvin! The atmosphere and food were amazing. They have a very good red wine selection as well. A good place to impress a date.

Very nice unassuming place with fantastic steaks at a reasonable price. Both rib eye and the sirloin steaks were cooked to perfection. Grilled on the outside and tender & red on the inside. Would definitely go there again despite it being slightly off the beaten track. What a great find!

La Via del Muro is a beautiful spot with a lovely ambiance. The decor is charming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The appetizers were definitely the highlight of the evening. The Frutti di Mare soup was rich, packed with seafood, and full of deep, comforting flavors, by far the standout dish of the night. The Burrata with pesto was fresh, creamy, and generously portioned, while the shrimp pil-pil bruschetta had the perfect balance of garlic and spice.
However, there was a long wait between the appetizers and the mains, which was a bit frustrating. Once the main courses arrived, they didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by the appetizers. The carbonara was good and the best main, the Frutti di Mare pasta was decent but lacked a stronger seafood flavor. The entrecôte was tiny, and the tenderloin was cooked beyond the medium I requested. The herb butter was underwhelming, lacking the herbal punch I was hoping for, almost like plain butter.
The service was friendly, and the waiter was pleasant, but I personally don’t like when some dishes are cleared before everyone has finished eating.
We didn’t try the pizzas, but they looked fantastic, and every table that ordered them seemed to really enjoy them.
They have a sign on each table offering a surprise for leaving a Google review, which could explain their high rating.

If you’re in Berlin and the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie you have to go to La Via Del Muro.
The Chianti was fantastic! The focaccia with shredded goat cheese (I think) was outstanding. I had the entrecôte (the steak) and truffle pizza.
Forgot to take a picture of those two entrees. Yes it was very very good. Highly recommend.
Our waiter Palermo was awesome! He spoke Italian which was a very nice touch.
The bar is very pretty to hang out.
This restaurant is worth the stop.

The best place in Berlin if you’re looking for affordable sushi, especially during happy hour when there’s a discount for combo sushi.
The sushi is fresh, the menu has plenty of options, and it tastes good. The service is fast. The restaurant’s interior is so-so and feels busy since it’s always crowded whenever I visit. Expect a long queue if you come during lunchtime.
mirna kusumartina - 5 months ago
We’ve always gone to Ishin on Mittelstrasse 24 and have been absolutely thrilled with the quality of the sushi and, above all, the service.
Yesterday, we tried the Ishin location on Charlottenstrasse 16 for the first time. You’d think it would be the same standard, given it’s the same chain — but what a difference.
The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress, even though the restaurant was almost empty — and that’s not even getting into the other details.
The quality of the sushi also wasn’t great.
Overall, we left disappointed, mostly because of the poor service — even though the place itself is actually quite cozy.

Was here for the second time a few weeks ago. The first dining experience was fine, not the best, but okay. However, the second time I went in the afternoon, the older waitress had the worst attitude. She was unprofessional, inattentive, and impatient throughout the entire process of taking my order and handling the payment. I was totally fine with paying in cash, but I forgot and handed her my card at first. She immediately got grumpy. I don’t speak German, but I could tell she was saying they only accept cash in a very condescending tone. Overall, just a very unpleasant experience. Won’t go back again. The food was mid. I would not recommend going if not for the happy hour.

Ordered Spanish while in the city.
The service was great, with the drinks coming to the table quickly.
The food took some time to get to the table, but we waited with hungry stomachea, until it came. And what a bunch of delicious food that came!

Its a nice place, food was nice. I ordered warm Tapas: Octopus, Calamari and Sardellen.
Service was not so good, they looked very tired, demotivated. We were waiting for more than an hour for our food. It took also a while to get our desserts and they forgot to bring us one.
To speak German and English was also not so easy.

food was pretty good but gosh the service went downhill so fast. it was the same night as the marathon and they probably overbooked because the place was packed and we didn't get any attention outdoors. paella took longer than worth and asking 5 different people and times to pay gets to be frustrating

Unexpected amount of fun, we felt like in Spain! Really good tapas.
We got patatas bravas, rare choice of salsa served on a side instead of on top of potatoes - I was extremely grateful for that, and it was yum! The tortilla was absolutely delicious, we were also happy with a mix of cheese and meats. We also got a dish of chicken which was kinda weak.
Very happy with our visit there!

We had a quick meal after our walking tour and it was perfect! Wicked nice staff, great service and the food was amazing! I even asked to substitute the rice or fries on my dish for a baked potato and the waitress just smiled and nodded yes. If I was living in Berlin I would come here all the time! Thank you for an amazing meal!

This restaurant is located close to Checkpoint Charlie, and was convenient to our hotel. The staff were very friendly, I think they outnumbered the customers on Easter Sunday.
The food was fine but unremarkable. I had the pica pollo; the chicken was cooked well and juicy, but I didn't get any "Caribbean" flavor from it. My kids had nachos, they were fine. The drinks (passionfruit radler, smoothies) were good.
They charged me a fee to pay by credit card, nearly 4%. I did not see that referenced on the menu, just that card payment was possible for 10€ or more.

Went for breakfast and returned 3 days running. Great value for money, delicious food, even got lunch to take out. It was spotlessly clean and had great balcony space to enjoy dining in an historical location. The lady serving was very friendly and helpful.

They promise hot products, but everything we bought (2 sandwiches ) was ice cold. Plus the self-service machines didn't work either. The place didn't put us at ease.

The food is great and the prices are good, but the staff is terrible. I asked for my sandwich to be toasted, a service they do provide, and the employee was visibly annoyed, saying: “I’ll go home” to one of her colleagues.

Nondescript eatery serving delicious Middle Eastern cuisine with fresh ingredients. Lots of options available. There are also options for chicken if you don't take beef. Portions are generous and service efficient. They also have vegetarian options and I believe they are as delicious as the non veg options. Washroom is also clean and well-maintained. Situated opposite the road from Topography of Terror. Worthy to check out for a meal. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma. It was my first time eating that and it was delectable. 👍👍👍 Note that they only accept cash for tourists though.

Very nice orient restaurant. Not fancy, more for daily food, but really delicious, fresh food, falafel made at the moment, high quality ingredients, very kind service, interesting drinks and friendly atmosphere. One of the few places left where you can eat well for a decent price. Sandwiches are 6€ and a good portion, plates around 10€. Happy to be back, it has stayed consistently good over the years.
