5 Star Rating Sale e Tabacchi is a well established Italian restaurant located just near checkpoint Charlie. It has existed for over 30 years. Established in 1995. When you go to their website, you will not find the menu because the menu is made on a daily basis. They do have regular dishes, but there’s lots of things that they add to the menu that makes it interesting every time you go there. We had bruschetta and it looks like mozzarella, but it’s not. It’s like very creamy very tasty. We went there because we wanted the same dish from this film, eat pray love and they gave us exactly that pasta dish you’ll see. I was very pleased with the meal we had that evening. The restaurant still holds the standards of the now retired manager, Nino and is carried on by my favorite waiter, Walter. During the Berlinale many famous people go there to eat in February when this event happens with films and stuff like that here in BERLIN. Garden area. There’s a really nice garden area in the back where you can sit and eat and enjoy your meal in the summertime. It’s all white tablecloth stuff and the service is great. This is why I give it five stars all the way. Besides that I’m in a big fan of the place.

4 Star Rating Sale e Tabacchi is a long-running Italian restaurant nestled in Mitte that exudes its own cozy charm, complete with high ceilings that add to its inviting atmosphere. The food here is authentic and decent, offering a taste of Italy right in the heart of Berlin. One of the highlights for me was discovering that they also serve Bellinis, adding a touch of elegance to the dining experience.

5 Star Rating Prices are high. Service are very great. Food is also good. We got our appetizer and drinks very fast. One thing I really didn’t like is that there was no music in the restaurant. At all. When we came it was empty and service was running with the tables around us and making a lot of noise in completely quiet place. Then came a lot of people and restaurant was full. But still no music at the background. Tables are very close to each others. So you can hear everyone’s talk…The interior is old fashion. So in general atmosphere was not that pleasant.

4 Star Rating Overall a solid 4 stars, most of the dishes were good although a bit pricey. However, none of the dishes was extraordinary. The restaurant has an old fashion design, the tables are very close to each other and yhe acoustic is not great. Service was ok. Almost no vegan options.

5 Star Rating This was truly a memorable dining experience. We ordered both menus and every single course across both the Koi & Traditional menus delivered a panoply of flavor, attention to detail, and top notch service. This is the first time I've dined at a Michelin star restaurant of any designation where every single dish was fantastic. Well worth the trip and experience!

5 Star Rating Impeccable hospitality, creative Asian inspired menu, amazing wine cellar!! I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Tim Raue, in May 2025. They were extremely accommodating of a reservation made on short notice. They were also very accommodating of my 7 year old son, who’s list of Michelin restaurant experiences is impressive and by no means his first experience. As I stated above the hospitality was world class. The food was exciting, incredibly tasty but approachable, and the wine cellar is incredible. I will definitely go back.

5 Star Rating Excellent meal and service. My waiter Oliver made particular effort to make me feel welcome and chatted as a solo diner. Food excellent, you definitely want to substitute a dish for the langoustine - my favourite course. Apparently it used to be punchier, which I would have liked. Running the marathon tomorrow so opted for the non-alcoholic pairing, which was excellent, probably the best AF pairing I've had. Would never choose an AF wine, especially a red, but the chilled pinot noir was great! As it was busy I was sat downstairs, which was fine but lacked a bit of atmosphere or being able to see the kitchen. They did pre-warn me to be fair to them.

3 Star Rating Service was excellent! We really felt like royalty. ~10 portions ~4h of lovely experience . Every round, they changed the entire cutlery “set". Somehow only the women waitresses were carrying the heavy trays… :( Food was nice, creative, but no tastes that swept us off our feet. The menu is fixed you can only pick 1 of 2 ver. We shared, so we tasted both. In our opinion, the price is unreasonable compared to what we got.

5 Star Rating We had such a wonderful experience at Entrecôte. The service was outstanding, attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a Parisian bistro. The foie gras instantly transported me back to one of my trips to Paris, absolutely perfect. The escargots were beautifully prepared and full of flavor, a must-try. We also had the carpaccio and the classic steak frites, both delicious and cooked to perfection. Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. Highly recommend stopping by this beautiful restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood—you’ll leave already wanting to come back.

4 Star Rating A good French restaurant that we visited twice. The food was good and the services were excellent! It gave a good French feel. The first time we went there without booking. We sat in the most inner section of the restaurant. It was hot (high 20C) and there was no air condition. When the other guests left, the atmosphere became cold. We reserved a table for the second time. We sat in the front section and the atmosphere was excellent. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Recommended!

5 Star Rating I really loved my visit to Steakhouse Asador in Berlin. The steaks were spot on – juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The service was super friendly and attentive, which made the evening even better. They also have some really nice wines that go perfectly with the food. On top of that, the whole place has a relaxed Spanish vibe that makes you feel right at home. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

5 Star Rating Loved our experience at this steakhouse! The steaks were phenomenal: juicy, perfectly cooked (I got mine medium), and full of flavor. Highly recommend trying one! Our waiter, a charming Dominican gentleman, made the meal even better with his kindness, humor, and excellent English. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous, we couldn’t even finish the salmon! The desserts were a steal at €8 each, so we indulged in all of them. Fair prices and a fantastic time overall!

I’m deducting one star because my friend got food-poisoned afterwards as soon as he got home. I was alright though, so must have been something with his steak and luck 😔

3 Star Rating ★★★☆☆ We visited La Via Del Muro again after a few years, having had a very good experience with both the food and service on our last visit. The atmosphere is still charming and the surroundings very pleasant – one of the reasons we chose to return. Unfortunately, this time didn’t quite live up to expectations. The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was friendly, but we didn’t get any attention throughout the entire meal after ordering. After we finished our mains, we sat and enjoyed a bottle of wine, hoping to order dessert. It took 15–20 minutes before we were finally able to catch the waiter’s attention and ask for the dessert menu. It was disappointing, especially because we came back looking forward to the same great experience we had before. Next time we’re in Berlin, we’ll likely try a different Italian restaurant

4 Star Rating La Via del Muro is a beautiful spot with a lovely ambiance. The decor is charming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The appetizers were definitely the highlight of the evening. The Frutti di Mare soup was rich, packed with seafood, and full of deep, comforting flavors, by far the standout dish of the night. The Burrata with pesto was fresh, creamy, and generously portioned, while the shrimp pil-pil bruschetta had the perfect balance of garlic and spice. However, there was a long wait between the appetizers and the mains, which was a bit frustrating. Once the main courses arrived, they didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by the appetizers. The carbonara was good and the best main, the Frutti di Mare pasta was decent but lacked a stronger seafood flavor. The entrecôte was tiny, and the tenderloin was cooked beyond the medium I requested. The herb butter was underwhelming, lacking the herbal punch I was hoping for, almost like plain butter. The service was friendly, and the waiter was pleasant, but I personally don’t like when some dishes are cleared before everyone has finished eating. We didn’t try the pizzas, but they looked fantastic, and every table that ordered them seemed to really enjoy them. They have a sign on each table offering a surprise for leaving a Google review, which could explain their high rating.

4 Star Rating Not sure whether a slow day or generally lower energy, but was not really amazed. The interaction with staff was rigid and perhaps only one younger lady was bit more interested in us. We asked for English menu, but it was never followed up. The rest of the time - absolute silence and staff sitting on their phones at the central table. When food came the order was little random. One soup well ahead and the rest just in good time later. Including edamame what i would have expected as starter. Flavors were passable but no thrills. Without soy definitely just bland. Loooots of rice. Bathroom area- low standards and having some washing clothes drying on a rack in public space not too pretty neither. Unfortunately compares as one of worst experiences and won’t return.

Since the place is located in the most central part of Berlin, there was a long line and the place was quite hectic. The waiters did their best, were friendly and fast. 4 Star Rating We’ve always gone to Ishin on Mittelstrasse 24 and have been absolutely thrilled with the quality of the sushi and, above all, the service. Yesterday, we tried the Ishin location on Charlottenstrasse 16 for the first time. You’d think it would be the same standard, given it’s the same chain — but what a difference. The service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for a waitress, even though the restaurant was almost empty — and that’s not even getting into the other details. The quality of the sushi also wasn’t great. Overall, we left disappointed, mostly because of the poor service — even though the place itself is actually quite cozy.

5 Star Rating Loved Germany, but we are not fans of sausages. After more than a week of French fries and beer (I’m not usually a beer fan, but it was pretty great during Oktoberfest), I craved something more. I found this restaurant located just a few blocks from our hotel, and could see online that they were open late and had reservations available. We walked in and asked to be seated. We were seated in the very front of the restaurant with 4-5 other tables. It felt like a very intimate dining room. We asked (the manager? the owner?) for advice on which paella to order. He recommended the one with chicken and seafood. We then asked for advice on a compatible Spanish white. We went with his recommendations for both, added a garlic mushroom appetizer, and had the most amazing meal. The hospitality was wonderful. The paella was better than we had in Barcelona a year ago, and way WAY better than we recently had here in San Diego. The wine was perfect with it, and it was the best food we’d had in Berlin. Highly recommend.

3 Star Rating This restaurant is located close to Checkpoint Charlie, and was convenient to our hotel. The staff were very friendly, I think they outnumbered the customers on Easter Sunday. The food was fine but unremarkable. I had the pica pollo; the chicken was cooked well and juicy, but I didn't get any "Caribbean" flavor from it. My kids had nachos, they were fine. The drinks (passionfruit radler, smoothies) were good. They charged me a fee to pay by credit card, nearly 4%. I did not see that referenced on the menu, just that card payment was possible for 10€ or more.

5 Star Rating We were really hungry when we ordered food here. We ordered 2 mixed platter meat. It was 10 euro for each plate. The food was really tasty and the portions were perfect. We will definitely come here again. If you like authentic Arabic Food, I suggest you must try the mixed platter meat here.

5 Star Rating Very nice orient restaurant. Not fancy, more for daily food, but really delicious, fresh food, falafel made at the moment, high quality ingredients, very kind service, interesting drinks and friendly atmosphere. One of the few places left where you can eat well for a decent price. Sandwiches are 6€ and a good portion, plates around 10€. Happy to be back, it has stayed consistently good over the years.

5 Star Rating Nondescript eatery serving delicious Middle Eastern cuisine with fresh ingredients. Lots of options available. There are also options for chicken if you don't take beef. Portions are generous and service efficient. They also have vegetarian options and I believe they are as delicious as the non veg options. Washroom is also clean and well-maintained. Situated opposite the road from Topography of Terror. Worthy to check out for a meal. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma. It was my first time eating that and it was delectable. 👍👍👍 Note that they only accept cash for tourists though.
