2 Star Rating I saw a location at the Main station in the morning and figured if I saw another one I would try for lunch. I have been eating currywurst for over twenty years and one of my goto places when in Germany. As both places had a long line figured it was good. Sadly for me the curry sauce tasted more like ketchup. The wurst was good but the sauce is what makes the dish. My fries were good but the mayo was bland. I have had better jarred curry sauce from Kaufland so not sure who is buying the sauce. There are some that will like this but having had different curry from all over Germany this missed the mark. The prepackaged in the store for me tastes better. The brotchen while does not look like much was good. I am used to a larger and more brown crusted brotchen but this was better than it looks. However, customer service was great and if that is what you are looking for this place has it just wish the sauce had more curry flavor and the mayo was not bland.

3 Star Rating Went here for lunch after learning that this place serves on of the best currywurst in Berlin. I have had currywurst before in Berlin, but this one didn't live up to the hype. It was good, but the sauce lacked flavor. Prices are fine and service was quick.

4 Star Rating Definitely a Berlin cult place. Meals are kept basic but are good. Unfortunately this time around the portions of the Currywurst were very small and the sauce also had no curry taste in it. Overall a solid meal tho with around 10€ per person

4 Star Rating Just stumbled upon this gem of a place on my travels through Berlin! As an avid fan of currywurst, I couldn't be happier to have found a spot that serves up authentic, mouth-watering versions of this classic German dish. The portions are generous and the quality is top-notch – great value for money, if you ask me! Only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the seating area could do with a bit more organisation. Still, would highly recommend popping in here for a quick, satisfying bite. Great taste of Berlin! (4/5) Rating: 4/5 stars. Overall, I'd give this place a solid four out of five stars. It's just fantastic value for money, and the service was always friendly and organised. The portions were quite good and tasted great. Only drawback was the lack of space inside but I guess that's what makes it so popular. Would certainly come back here again as it offers a lot for its

4 Star Rating For sure wurst in Berlin is better than rest of the Germany, for Berlin standarts, here is more or less ok, nothing spectacular. Comparing with the rest if the Germany, it is top class.

3 Star Rating If you are a hard core punk fan or looking for cheap beer, this might be the place for you. It is a bit tricky to find. It has a stage so I assume there is live music some days of the week. There is also a small and cosy biergarten. We were there late in the afternoon, so It is hard to rate the atmosphere. I guess evening would have been better. One odd thing was a couple who clearly had a LOT of amphetamine in their systems. The guy was running around like a ball in a pinball machine. His irratic behavior made people feel uneasy, but the barkeeper seemed to know him so he was left alone. It was not really threatening, but we could see a lot of other customers feeling uneasy. I have no pictures from inside, because It was not allowed. Anyway, if you love punk rock and don't mind a bit of odd behavior, this might be the place for you.

4 Star Rating The place is nice, smoky and smells of beer and punk attitude. Music was playing really quiet so we could barely understand what we were listening to. There are billiards and arcade games.Toilets were relatively clean on a Monday night. Beers were in really reasonable prices. Tips: Enter the heavy black gate and then search the bar’s entrance on your left hand. Staff is not very friendly. Do not ask anything but beer. Although there’s no sign prohibiting you for photos , the crew wouldn’ be happy watching you take photos.

5 Star Rating Went back when this was just a humble food stand—no slick branding, no trendy rooftop views, just a simple setup, a massive line, and the smell of grilled meat and spices wafting through the air. I remember standing in line for what felt like forever, watching locals and tourists all do the same slow shuffle forward, eyes on the prize. And honestly? It was absolutely worth it. That first bite hit different. The kebab was perfectly layered, crispy meat, fresh veggies, a warm, slightly chewy flatbread, and sauces that actually had depth. No shortcuts, no gimmicks—just ridiculously good food made with care. It had that unmistakable Berlin street food energy: a little chaotic, a little gritty, but completely satisfying. Even as the city changes and places like this evolve or grow into full-blown hotspots, there’s something unforgettable about the original setup. That mix of patience, anticipation, and payoff is what makes it stand out in a city full of great eats. A real Berlin gem from the ground up.

5 Star Rating I ordered the chicken kebab, and as other reviewers mentioned, it’s huge. You get meat and veggies in every single bite, and I loved how the flavors changed depending on where I bit into it. The standout ingredients for me were the fresh lemon squeeze, goat cheese, arugula (rucola), onion, and chili. The barbecue sauce was also a great touch that really enhanced the flavor. My only minor complaint is that the bread wasn’t quite crispy enough. I visited on a Saturday at 8 PM and only waited 20 minutes (likely due to the BVG strike). Overall, it’s one of the best kebabs I’ve had, but I’d say it’s worth a maximum wait of 40 minutes. Any longer than that, and you might as well try one of the many other great spots nearby.

2 Star Rating I had a disappointing experience at Amici Amici, largely due to the service. From the moment we arrived, things felt off. The first question we were asked was whether we had a reservation, which is fair enough… but the way it was delivered came across as abrupt rather than welcoming. When we said no, we were told to wait, but then left standing without any explanation while staff carried on with other tasks, avoiding eye contact. After a long wait, another member of staff appeared who didn’t seem to know we were there and asked the same question again before eventually seating us, despite there being plenty of empty tables. Unfortunately, that set the tone for the rest of the visit. Service throughout was slow and inattentive: long waits to order drinks, place food orders, and eventually to pay (I ended up going to the counter to settle the bill). Communication also felt inconsistent: we weren’t spoken to in English for most of the service, but it suddenly became an option when desserts were being promoted. I completely understand that this is an Italian restaurant in Berlin, and I don’t expect everything to be in English. However, the overall feeling was that we were an inconvenience rather than guests, which made the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. There may well be good food here, but the service needs significant improvement to match.

3 Star Rating Food was outstanding, some of the best Italian food I've eaten but my goodness, the service is awful! Staff weren't friendly at all, from the bar tender who looked at us as if we'd asked for the impossible when we asked for a glass of wine and a coca-cola, to the waiter who was equally as miserable. Strangely though, the table of 3 young girls next to us got lots of smiles and the staff couldn't do enough! We waited way too long to order and then to get the bill - we asked 3 times and were ignored by one of the waiters. I won't go back - not because the food isn't amazing, because it is, but because the service is so bad that it would rule out doing other things on my holiday due to having to wait so long!

4 Star Rating We recently celebrated our daughter’s 4th birthday at Kindercafé Kreuzzwerg, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for both kids and adults! We booked the birthday package for 8 kids and had about 14 adults. The package cost €185, and adults could order anything from the café and simply put it on our bill — in total, we spent around €400. The value for what we received was absolutely worth it. Although it wasn’t a private booking (there was another birthday group at the same time), we were lucky that it wasn’t too crowded that day, so everything still felt relaxed and enjoyable. The birthday tables were already nicely decorated, and we added our own unicorn rainbow theme, which made our daughter really happy. The staff were kind and helpful throughout. Included in the package were a marble cake, a fruit plate, and Margherita pizza — and honestly, the food was a pleasant surprise! It wasn’t just “kid-friendly” — even the adults really enjoyed the cake and pizza. Not only did the kids have a great time playing, but the parents could also relax and enjoy good conversations in a stress-free environment. We definitely recommend Kindercafé Kreuzzwerg if you're looking for a cozy, fun place to host an indoor birthday party!

5 Star Rating Amazing place! There should be more cafes like this. My son had the best time and I enjoyed delicious drinks and food. On Sundays they have a huge brunch offering. It’s not cheap but for what you get it’s worth paying a bit more than the usual. I have a lot of respect for the staff too who manage to dodge tiny people while carrying hot drinks and plates. I’m not sure why there are some negative reviews here, would you expect staff to constantly smile while working in such a loud and busy environment? They do very well. I will happily come back

The Lammhüfte in a creamy pepper sauce is my favorite, but I sometimes can't resist ordering the Fischplatte or Gyrosteller. The homemade Tzatziki is always our starter. My mum is in town and she loves Greek food and this was a certainty in term of tasty food. We were really pleased by the charming restaurant, big and comfortable chairs, and friendly staff. Our dinner wasn’t rushed, service was good. We had time to enjoy each dish. We got the aubergine dip (Melitzanosalata), the fried aubergines and courgettes with tzatziki (Tiganita), the meat soup. For mains we ordered the lamb chops — sooo good. Big portion and a lot of meat to work on, I loved them. Mum got a gyros plate, the meat was tender and juicy. Definitely recommended. 5 Star Rating After a long day of exploring the streets, art, and hidden corners of Berlin, my friend and I stumbled upon this gem and instantly knew we’d found the perfect start to our night out. We were craving something a little indulgent, a little lively, and that’s exactly what we got with their espresso martinis. The drinks themselves were absolute perfection. Smooth, rich, and expertly balanced, with just the right amount of espresso bitterness cutting through the sweetness. The creamy texture made each sip feel like a tiny celebration in a glass, and the three little coffee beans on top weren’t just decorative, they were the perfect accent to every sip. We were so impressed that we both ordered a second round immediately, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Neither of us speak German fluently, but they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, double-checking our orders and even chatting with us despite the language barrier. It added such a warm, human touch to the whole evening. The atmosphere itself was lively but cozy, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing while gearing up for the night ahead. We found ourselves laughing, sharing stories, and soaking in the energy of the place, all while enjoying one of the best espresso martinis either of us have ever had. If you’re in Berlin and looking for perfect cocktails, an inviting vibe, and genuinely friendly service, this spot is a must. We left with happy hearts, caffeinated spirits, and a definite plan to return before we left the city. Truly an unforgettable start to a Berlin night.

5 Star Rating Delicious Mexican food. Great variety of dishes. I totally recommend enchiladas with pollo or fajitas with beef! Nachos is a great appetizer as well!

4 Star Rating Great atmosphere and drinks place! I wasn’t sure about the food and service… at first the staff forgot about our order so we sat with our drinks for 30mins, and drank on empty stomach. Then they let us know the order was forgotten, when we got the food I was confused because the fajitas and tacos were served same way, which I’m not used to. Then the server dropped food on my purse. While this is ok, this should not be the standard for service However the drinks were fantastic, amaretto sour was absolutely delicious. Cosmo was a little too sweet but so well made. Will be back for cocktails and vibe

5 Star Rating Really lovely place! The vibes are really cute, there was Spanish music playing most of the time - it was tasteful albeit not original! The food was also very nice and came extremely fast! The seating is comfortable with diversity of options - the space is really big! Amazing value for money Last but not least, the staff are so sweet, they offered free shots after we paid! I definitely recommend this experience. Extra note: the bathroom was very clean!
