Curry 36 is a Berlin institution and definitely worth trying if you’re looking to experience the city’s famous currywurst. We ordered the classic currywurst with a bread roll, currywurst with fries, and a couple of Radlers. We also picked up a bottle of their signature curry ketchup to bring home. The currywurst was tasty and satisfying, though it didn’t quite blow me away as much as I expected from all the hype. Still, it’s a delicious, affordable meal and a must-try while in Berlin. The line moves quickly despite the constant crowds, and the staff are incredibly efficient. They also sell their popular curry ketchup and curry spice, plus there’s a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There are standing communal tables, giving the place a lively street-food vibe. Best of all, it’s open late into the night, making it a perfect stop after a night out. Overall, a classic Berlin experience that’s well worth checking off your food list.

Went here for lunch after learning that this place serves on of the best currywurst in Berlin. I have had currywurst before in Berlin, but this one didn't live up to the hype. It was good, but the sauce lacked flavor. Prices are fine and service was quick.

Definitely a Berlin cult place. Meals are kept basic but are good. Unfortunately this time around the portions of the Currywurst were very small and the sauce also had no curry taste in it. Overall a solid meal tho with around 10€ per person

The wurst was really good. Only 3 stars for the services because the tables outside were dirty and the girl from the cash desk didn’t know english therefore we had to sign language with her for the cabbage 😀.

If you are a hard core punk fan or looking for cheap beer, this might be the place for you. It is a bit tricky to find. It has a stage so I assume there is live music some days of the week. There is also a small and cosy biergarten. We were there late in the afternoon, so It is hard to rate the atmosphere. I guess evening would have been better. One odd thing was a couple who clearly had a LOT of amphetamine in their systems. The guy was running around like a ball in a pinball machine. His irratic behavior made people feel uneasy, but the barkeeper seemed to know him so he was left alone. It was not really threatening, but we could see a lot of other customers feeling uneasy. I have no pictures from inside, because It was not allowed. Anyway, if you love punk rock and don't mind a bit of odd behavior, this might be the place for you.

The place is nice, smoky and smells of beer and punk attitude. Music was playing really quiet so we could barely understand what we were listening to. There are billiards and arcade games.Toilets were relatively clean on a Monday night. Beers were in really reasonable prices. Tips: Enter the heavy black gate and then search the bar’s entrance on your left hand. Staff is not very friendly. Do not ask anything but beer. Although there’s no sign prohibiting you for photos , the crew wouldn’ be happy watching you take photos.

Great punk bar! Friendly staff and a large area to sit, drink, or even play a few games. I found the place super smokey but this is to be expected. They played punk music which was great but it would have been nice if it was a bit louder so I could hear it better. Overall, it's a cool bar.

I had a kebab with everything and it was really good! However, the hype is real. Waited 50 minutes to get it on a weekday! So it's really good, but probably NOT worth waiting so much. However, if you do get it, you will not regret it! Also, prices are around 10 Euros, so when it comes to price, it's Unbeatable!

Went there because of video reviews. The food is ok. The bread is good, nicely toasted. The meat is good, although it is lacking juiciness, even though they spray some juice once hand cut. All the toppings and sauces are good. It tastes really fresh. Don't be afraid of the hot sauce. It's not that hot. Good portion. Good size meal. The bad: 1,5 hours wait. It not worth the wait. Wouldn't come back just because of this. Haven't taste other kebabs in berlin, so can't really compare if it is that good.

It’s a really delicious Döner, for sure. It didn’t change my life, but it was genuinely very, very good. My recommendation is: if the line is longer than 30 people, skip it. The queues are long more because the staff is incredibly slow than because it is that exceptionally hyped. I do think they intentionally keep a slower pace to maintain the appearance of hype and a constantly long line, because at other Döner places I would have received mine in half the time, if not less. Overall, it’s an amazing Döner if you happen to catch it at the right moment with a short queue, but not worth sacrificing other attractions Berlin has to offer just to stand in line and watch the staff move at an aggravatingly slow pace. Other noted: The staff was in a great mood, and a vegetarian option with just vegetables is also available.

The queue here is insane. We waited on a Saturday from 5:40 PM to 6:58 PM—so over an hour! Honestly, the kebab was tasty, but nothing mind-blowing. It didn't have enough sauce/dip, so it felt a bit dry. On the bright side, they definitely didn't skimp on the meat; the portion was huge. Worth trying once for the hype, but maybe not worth that long of a wait.

I came here with my girlfriend during our recent visit to Berlin, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the service and quality of this lounge. Although it was late at night and we did not speak German, they had an English-speaking staff member who was extremely friendly and accommodating. The shisha was great quality and they changed our coals multiple times. When I became hungry and asked for a burger, I got a perfectly cooked burger in no time, even though it was quite late at night. Finally, when an ingredient I had asked for in the burger wasn’t there (I hadn’t even noticed) the waiter apologized and offered to cook me a new one and comp it. This kind of service is unheard of in New York and it was genuinely refreshing. I highly recommend this place to anyone. A fantastic first shisha lounge experience.

The service here was exceptional. My boyfriend and I were looking for a chill shisha place and found exactly that. We had the mango flavored shisha, some beers, and shared a cheeseburger, and it all came out to about €40 which is an excellent price. When they brought out the burger, we were already halfway through eating it when our server told us they’d accidentally left the cheese off our burger and offered to make us a new one for free (which we declined because it was already delicious anyway). Everyone was so kind to us, some of the friendliest people we met in Berlin! Thank you very much to the staff ❤️🎉

Probably the best shisha I have smoked in Berlin thus far. Flavor is still there even after an hour. The owner is also really nice and gave me some free snacks to go with my shisha. I will definitely return.

Best authentic Italian restaurant in Berlin! All the delicious food is organic and prepared with respect to traditional Italian cuisine. Superb and delicious. Walked in for a dinner. Most of the tables were reserved, but still the staff managed to get us a table that too at desired place. So kudos for accommodating and adjusting for the current present customers. We chose to sit outside. Terrace like arrangement. Ordered Pizza's, Chinoto, Carpaccio, and Tiramisu. Pizzas were good. Prawns Carpaccio was something which I had never tried before but would definitely try again, Tiramisu - Could have been better. It was served in a Coffee Cup which was unique way but at the center, Savoiardi was dry and neither coffee nor Mascarpone could reach there. So that was a bummer. Also Mascarpone was little to thick as per my liking. But this is my personal preference. Overall, Good Experience.

Tempering my expectations is a lifetime endeavour. Just back from Torino, I had to judge this place based on Berlin standards. Those who know me will know that's an oxymoron to me. But hey, I came, I ate cleanly and left having eaten hand made, real food. That's an achievement in the par bake capital of the world (no joke, it makes Singapore look like regional France.) So, yeah, if you need a quick carbon fix at a decent price, it fits.

We recently celebrated our daughter’s 4th birthday at Kindercafé Kreuzzwerg, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for both kids and adults! We booked the birthday package for 8 kids and had about 14 adults. The package cost €185, and adults could order anything from the café and simply put it on our bill — in total, we spent around €400. The value for what we received was absolutely worth it. Although it wasn’t a private booking (there was another birthday group at the same time), we were lucky that it wasn’t too crowded that day, so everything still felt relaxed and enjoyable. The birthday tables were already nicely decorated, and we added our own unicorn rainbow theme, which made our daughter really happy. The staff were kind and helpful throughout. Included in the package were a marble cake, a fruit plate, and Margherita pizza — and honestly, the food was a pleasant surprise! It wasn’t just “kid-friendly” — even the adults really enjoyed the cake and pizza. Not only did the kids have a great time playing, but the parents could also relax and enjoy good conversations in a stress-free environment. We definitely recommend Kindercafé Kreuzzwerg if you're looking for a cozy, fun place to host an indoor birthday party!

I am pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated Kindercafé. It is clean, bright and has a variety of toys. Everything looks great! Prices are fair and considering all the facilities, I highly recommend it. We had a good time with a friend of mine and her baby. Service was quick and friendly! ❤️✨️

Amazing place! There should be more cafes like this. My son had the best time and I enjoyed delicious drinks and food. On Sundays they have a huge brunch offering. It’s not cheap but for what you get it’s worth paying a bit more than the usual. I have a lot of respect for the staff too who manage to dodge tiny people while carrying hot drinks and plates. I’m not sure why there are some negative reviews here, would you expect staff to constantly smile while working in such a loud and busy environment? They do very well. I will happily come back

The best atmosphere for a kindercafe in Berlin i ever experienced. This place is really calming, unlike other loud, rowdy, stressy variants, here i felt almost like home and while the kids had a great time i could read and enjoy my drink. The food was also perfect, we all enjoyed then, prices are alright.

One of the better doners that I had in Europe! Very good classic doner. The only down side was that it was smaller than other doners I’ve had. I was use to getting a huge sandwich and this one was a bit smaller, but, the taste definitely made up for it! It’s a small place where we just walked up to the window to order. I’m not actually sure if you can dine in. So for that reason, I gave the atmosphere three stars.

We visited this place about 3–4 months ago in September, and the fish was very delicious. That’s why we wanted to come again during our trip to Berlin this week. However, we didn’t find it as tasty as before. Still, thank you. The complimentary desserts served at the end of each meal are a very nice and thoughtful touch.

Our favorite restaurant in Berlin. We probably eat here 10 times per year. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. The Lammhüfte in a creamy pepper sauce is my favorite, but I sometimes can't resist ordering the Fischplatte or Gyrosteller. The homemade Tzatziki is always our starter. And when they come back from their summer break, they bring with them Opa's Schnaps. Five stars is not enough!

Very nice restaurant. Good food, big plates! The servants are very nice. Only downpoint is that there are a lot of people in one room so it can be very noisy. Very affordable (16,- for gyros and fries and 17,- for the oven plate with gyros and rice). Overall good experience :)

I’ve often ordered food here from apps to eat home but this was the first time I went to the restaurant. My mum is in town and she loves Greek food and this was a certainty in term of tasty food. We were really pleased by the charming restaurant, big and comfortable chairs, and friendly staff. Our dinner wasn’t rushed, service was good. We had time to enjoy each dish. We got the aubergine dip (Melitzanosalata), the fried aubergines and courgettes with tzatziki (Tiganita), the meat soup. For mains we ordered the lamb chops — sooo good. Big portion and a lot of meat to work on, I loved them. Mum got a gyros plate, the meat was tender and juicy. Definitely recommended. Thank you Taverna Dionysos!!!

A nice small discovery at the end of Bergmannstraße. The small restaurant has vegetarian and vegan Indian food. Fair prices, friendly staff and generous portions. As simple as that. They also have some tables outside and it is a nice place for lunch.

I wasn't expecting much of this place. But I ended up very impressed and happy with the service and the food. They have amazing, huge, filling vegan thalis. Also comes with a little yummy dessert! And the price is excellent for what you get. On top of that, they sell a wide range of south Asian food produce, at good prices.

Incredibly delicious vegan dishes! Waiter was friendly, service was surprisingly quick given the many clients and single waiter. They play fun music to make for a good vibe. So happy I chose to try this cuisine, definitely inspired to try southern indian again! 10/10 would recommend to anybody with a love for elaborate tastes.

This Indian restaurant has a large menu, which includes only vegan and vegetarian food - vegan dishes are clearly marked. It's possible to veganize more drinks by asking for coconut milk instead of dairy, too. They specialize in South Indian cuisine, so they have dishes featuring idly and dosa (unlike regular Indian restaurants). The food, which was served on plates or metal platters, tasted okay for the price. I wish they had used only fresh vegetables instead of fresh vegetables mixed with frozen (typical German) vegetables... Staff is friendly and service was good. Happy also that dogs can sit outside next to the table.

We visited this restaurant last evening and had a nice experience. We ordered the Vegetarian Quesadillas and Chimichanga Vegetariana, and both were delicious! Even though the filling inside both was practically the same, we still thoroughly enjoyed them—just keep in mind that the Quesadilla is a bit light on its own if you're quite hungry. We also took advantage of the 5.90€ Happy Hour offer for drinks. The Moscow Mule was good, but the Mojito was just okay. I’ve definitely had much better Mojitos elsewhere and it was also packed with way too much ice. Lastly, a quick suggestion for management: when we asked our waiter for a pen and paper to keep the toddler at our table busy, he told us they didn't have any, but when we asked the bartender, he kindly provided them right away. It would be a great touch for the restaurant to keep a few crayons or activity pages on hand to keep little ones entertained. Overall, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere—looking forward to our next visit!

After a long day of exploring the streets, art, and hidden corners of Berlin, my friend and I stumbled upon this gem and instantly knew we’d found the perfect start to our night out. We were craving something a little indulgent, a little lively, and that’s exactly what we got with their espresso martinis. The drinks themselves were absolute perfection. Smooth, rich, and expertly balanced, with just the right amount of espresso bitterness cutting through the sweetness. The creamy texture made each sip feel like a tiny celebration in a glass, and the three little coffee beans on top weren’t just decorative, they were the perfect accent to every sip. We were so impressed that we both ordered a second round immediately, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Neither of us speak German fluently, but they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, double-checking our orders and even chatting with us despite the language barrier.
