The sausages and the curry sauce are great, but the chips very often could do better. They're either a bit "wobbly" or a bit burnt. The staff are usually friendly even in hectic situations. The atmosphere is... You're right in the middle of an overcrowded pavement with beggars uncompromisingly asking for change or food. Expect annoyingly long queues.

This place is right around the corner of our airbnb, and currywurst is on our Berlin food bucket list. I half jokingly call this fate. The atmosphere is a little rundown but honestly it adds to the charm. The currywurst, fries with mayo, schnitzel and chicken nuggets were tasty. I would visit again, and I would like to visit somewhat inebriated next time because I feel like it would be even better. 10/10 would recommend, even sober.

The best Currywurst of Berlin. The plate is cheap (~8€), includes 2 sausages and fries, and comes full. You can also mix and taste two different sausages, which is my recommendation, the original Currywurst and a different one. The only downside is that they don’t put a lot of spices on it, but it tastes great anyway!

It may be a tourist trap, but it’s of the good kind. Curry wurst was great, the pork schnitzel as well, crispy and juicy. Tried Fritz-Cola for the first time and I have to say it was impressively close to the original. It may take some time to order, since there’s always a line of people, but absolutely worth it

It’s always packed, they don’t accept card payments, and some of the bartenders can be quite rude if you don’t speak German well. However, the atmosphere is good, which makes the place more enjoyable. It’s a great spot to chat and meet new people, and the decoration is quite appealing.

This classic old-style pub in Berlin is a cool spot with a vibrant crowd. However, the loud music can make conversation a challenge, requiring you to practically scream. The tables could use some more attention as they are often left uncleared. The presence of billiards and table soccer is a plus, and the mix of middle-aged folks, bros, and punk individuals adds to the unique atmosphere. The bar itself is good, and the beer is both nice and reasonably priced. Just be prepared for the high volume of the music, and don't expect a quick game of billiards, as the queue can get quite long!

The place is nice, smoky and smells of beer and punk attitude. Music was playing really quiet so we could barely understand what we were listening to. There are billiards and arcade games.Toilets were relatively clean on a Monday night. Beers were in really reasonable prices. Tips: Enter the heavy black gate and then search the bar’s entrance on your left hand. Staff is not very friendly. Do not ask anything but beer. Although there’s no sign prohibiting you for photos , the crew wouldn’ be happy watching you take photos.

Staying in Berlin without trying one of the best kebabs in town… I couldn’t do that. 🙂 I was near Checkpoint Charlie and realised I was close to Mustafa’s one (I had a few other adresses in my pocket though). So 1h15min of waiting is not nothing, I can give you that. Now all depends on how bad you want it hein 🤣 I stayed and the verdict is… 🥁 It’s totally worth it. An excellent quality of chicken, slices are slim but juicy, savoury. The bread is amazing, it made this delicious “crunch” sound each time I bit in. Veggies - excellent, I would not have minded more aubergines but… chef’s choice after all. Mint and goat cheese in it, wow amazing. 🤩 I also appreciated the service. They are quick and it’s nice to see them relaxed and not nervous or speedy but rather smiling and cool. I totally recommend. PS don’t take a takeaway, eat it right there to have the better taste and for a better presentation of kebab 😉

It’s definitely a must-try if you’re in Berlin. No matter what time of day it is, you’ll have to wait in line. We waited for 2 hours ourselves. The chicken wrap includes fries, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, cottage cheese, and 2-3 types of sauce. Every bite is packed with flavor. You should absolutely give it a try — it’s worth braving the cold while waiting in line!

The first thing you need to know is that it's cash only. I'd queued 20 mins before I spotted this. It's definitely worth it as the drum was delicious- well filled and a lovely blend of flavours. Service friendly and smiley too.

The döner itself was tasty - but the wait was LONG (about 1.5hrs). It was different to the döner I had previously (maybe because it was chicken), but the vegetables delicious and the bread crunchy all the way through. Delicious spices. The people in line were really friendly and we got chatting to a few. Pro tip? Grab a beer at a local shop to keep you entertained whilst you wait.

If you're in Berlin, this place is a must-try! Be prepared for a long queue no matter the hour—we personally waited over two hours. But trust me, it's worth it. The veggie döner is loaded with fries, grilled veggies like peppers and cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, cottage cheese, and a mix of delicious sauces. Each bite is bursting with flavor. Even standing in the cold felt justified by how good it was. Definitely worth the hype and the wait!

Great hookah/shisha lounge, super friendly staff. The gentlemen who helped us were very kind through a slight language barrier, and made sure we were comfortable. Two stories, but they brought out chairs and a table for us to sit outside. Had a very good experience here for a late night smoke sesh.

I and my friends visited a shisha bar, where we ordered shisha and drinks. After receiving our bill, I bought a bottle of water and forgot to pay for it. When I arrived at the hotel, I called the bar, apologized, and offered to come and pay or transfer the amount. They told me it's not a problem and considered it a gift from the bar. Honestly, I was worried after reading some comments, but the staff at this shisha bar were very kind, and their service was excellent and fast. It's a really beautiful place.

Tempering my expectations is a lifetime endeavour. Just back from Torino, I had to judge this place based on Berlin standards. Those who know me will know that's an oxymoron to me. But hey, I came, I ate cleanly and left having eaten hand made, real food. That's an achievement in the par bake capital of the world (no joke, it makes Singapore look like regional France.) So, yeah, if you need a quick carbon fix at a decent price, it fits.

We had lunch here on a Sunday. The food was quite good. The restaurant was very full, with all tables inside and outside being completely occupied, which overwhelmed the staff. We waited a long time to get drinks and then the food. Apart from that, the staff was friendly and tried their best. We sat outside by the street, which was extremely loud as the restaurant is located on the cross section of main roads. Police cars, cars horning, etc. tainted the atmosphere.

Real Italian restaurant in Berlin centre. We've been welcomed by lovely jolly waiter, with smile and in Italian ❤️. The atmosphere in the restaurant is simply beautiful and intimate (Ideal for evening date). The food is homemade and you can tell by the delicious taste I didn't eat such a delicious pasta in years I wish I could eat some dessert when I was eating here, but I was full after my main meal. Service was excellent, all of them speak 3 languages (German, Italian and English) so you don't have to feel afraid if you're not fluent in Italian or German. I loved the family pictures on the walls and the fact it's a family run business it's my preferred type of restaurants. I will be going again when I'm back in Berlin.

Lovely place. It reminds me Italy for sure. All food was delicious and the services was so warm. I confirm that is a pleca I would like to come back ASAP, or when I can lol. We got the without reservation but they kindly prepare a table for us. Thank you so much. It was a pleasant experience regardless of not having planned where to go that night.

I am pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated Kindercafé. It is clean, bright and has a variety of toys. Everything looks great! Prices are fair and considering all the facilities, I highly recommend it. We had a good time with a friend of mine and her baby. Service was quick and friendly! ❤️✨️

Food is fairly basic but good enough for snacks whilst visiting ( don't expect a hearty meal by any means ) good place for the kids, only one staff member on hand for food and service so can get bit chaotic at peak times, but would definitely come back again, only main critique is that more sofas / comfortable seating would make this place ideal. Note that no buggys inside so plan ahead if having a small one :)

I’ve visited many Kindercafés, and this one stands out for its spacious layout and variety of playrooms. There’s plenty of space for kids to explore, and the different play areas keep them engaged for a long time. I’ve been here twice with my child, and we both had a great time. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot for parents to relax while kids play. The café offers a good selection of food and drinks. I’d definitely love to come back again!

One of the better doners that I had in Europe! Very good classic doner. The only down side was that it was smaller than other doners I’ve had. I was use to getting a huge sandwich and this one was a bit smaller, but, the taste definitely made up for it! It’s a small place where we just walked up to the window to order. I’m not actually sure if you can dine in. So for that reason, I gave the atmosphere three stars.

Disappointed with my experience this time. The bread was barely toasted, the meat was extremely greasy, and the overall flavor was lacking. I couldn’t even finish it. I was also charged 8€ with the cheese on top — it’s the first time they made me pay for it — and they even tried to charge me twice.

Absolutely delicious! This döner kebab spot blew me away—everything was sooo good. The kebab was flavorful and juicy, the fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the falafels? Perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service. Easily one of the best I’ve had—will definitely be coming back!

This spot was highly reviewed and once we arrived a small window was open for ordering. For a veggie durum + chicken durum total was 18.50 (pretty pricey) First, there is no selection of sauces so you don’t get to choose whether you want spicy and or garlic etc. Although service was extremely fast the result of our durums was extremely bland. Portion size was laughable, way too small. In the all in veggie durum, it was just salad leaves wrapped in wrap with no sauce and barely any grilled veggies. Tasted like raw lettuce. In the chicken durum, if one likes dry chicken then go for it. All in all, just not worth the price nor was the taste 5 star in any way.

Our favorite restaurant in Berlin. We probably eat here 10 times per year. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, great food. The Lammhüfte in a creamy pepper sauce is my favorite, but I sometimes can't resist ordering the Fischplatte or Gyrosteller. The homemade Tzatziki is always our starter. And when they come back from their summer break, they bring with them Opa's Schnaps. Five stars is not enough!

I visited about half a year ago and it was lovely! Very friendly and welcoming staff, even though I visited when the kitchen was nearly closing. The food and beer was great and I enjoyed my stay. The owner came for a short chat. I recommend!

Very nice restaurant. Good food, big plates! The servants are very nice. Only downpoint is that there are a lot of people in one room so it can be very noisy. Very affordable (16,- for gyros and fries and 17,- for the oven plate with gyros and rice). Overall good experience :)

I’ve often ordered food here from apps to eat home but this was the first time I went to the restaurant. My mum is in town and she loves Greek food and this was a certainty in term of tasty food. We were really pleased by the charming restaurant, big and comfortable chairs, and friendly staff. Our dinner wasn’t rushed, service was good. We had time to enjoy each dish. We got the aubergine dip (Melitzanosalata), the fried aubergines and courgettes with tzatziki (Tiganita), the meat soup. For mains we ordered the lamb chops — sooo good. Big portion and a lot of meat to work on, I loved them. Mum got a gyros plate, the meat was tender and juicy. Definitely recommended. Thank you Taverna Dionysos!!!

Incredibly delicious vegan dishes! Waiter was friendly, service was surprisingly quick given the many clients and single waiter. They play fun music to make for a good vibe. So happy I chose to try this cuisine, definitely inspired to try southern indian again! 10/10 would recommend to anybody with a love for elaborate tastes.

A nice small discovery at the end of Bergmannstraße. The small restaurant has vegetarian and vegan Indian food. Fair prices, friendly staff and generous portions. As simple as that. They also have some tables outside and it is a nice place for lunch.

Really lovely place! The vibes are really cute, there was Spanish music playing most of the time - it was tasteful albeit not original! The food was also very nice and came extremely fast! The seating is comfortable with diversity of options - the space is really big! Amazing value for money Last but not least, the staff are so sweet, they offered free shots after we paid! I definitely recommend this experience. Extra note: the bathroom was very clean!

We visited on a very quiet Sunday evening and specifically chose this place based on its high rating on Google. The food, although not totally authentic was close enough and was very tasty! There were only three groups in the restaurant, us included. The setting was dark and intimate although we did struggle reading the menu. The food portion sizes are enormous! The cocktails were very good. We paid with through card and although the waiter was a little deflated when we asked, they were happy with this. We asked if we could put a tip on but they don’t seem to get the tip if it’s on a card so we handed over a couple of notes. He really worked hard for us together with his fellow waiters. I’d say go for it!

Service was truly incredible here. Very sweet staff and we received a free aperitif at the end of the meal and that was the cherry on top. Solid nachos and good tasting burger as well. If you want a great place for a drink, frozen or not, and a good meal, this is a nice go to that’s very close to public transport
