As a cultural phenomenon it certainly deserves 5 Stars but as a culinary item, the currywurst isn’t exactly amazing. I am sure that much like with hot dogs, there are some wonderful places that execute it extremely well but I haven’t found one yet.
Great atmosphere, great working crowd mixed with tourists, cheap and accessible. Perhaps I do recommend it as a must in Berlin.
The sausage is fine, not in any way special, it is covered in curried ketchup and works well with a side of fries also drowned in ketchup and mayo. Your curiosity and hunger will certainly both be satisfied here.

Ordered the iconic Currywurst with Pommes. The Fries were cold and a bit hard to chew. Sausages were delicious, the sauce too. Overall okay experience and a good place to grab a quick snack.
rbchrt - 2 months ago
Sausage is too salty but the sauce delicious. The atmosphere at Zoologischer station branch was not good. Surround by homeless that come and beg for your money time to time and smell of rotten beer inc. old pee smell. Recommend to take away and especially girls not so safe there.

Always a good Choice if you want to get a good original Curry Wurst. They also have a vegetarian sausage.
Ngoc Bui - a week ago
OK deli selling German style curry distances with fries. Device is very quick, staff friendly, food quality and taste mediocre.

Read reviews on google and booked today's lunch. It was superb! Everything from the fresh bread to homemade butter to appetizer, main course, I was totally satisfied. I ordered ice cream as dessert, that wasn't my favorite. But cafe latte was good. Well-worth 21 euros.

Average at best. Had a business lunch here. Service was good but food nothing great. I ordered a duck soup which tasted like salt and not much more and for main pork medallions which wee also salty with mash. Not sure if I would recommend the place.

Real Mexicans are cooking ... great flavors. Fast food, great taste. Not a big selection but definitely worth trying the asada especial!

Sam is the best waiter, great recommendations! The truffle tagliatelle is divine, and my friends burger, she said was absolutely fantastic. We were also here last night, and the food was so good we came back again.
Lovely restaurant, highly recommend it.

Impressed with how quickly our food came, and it was piping hot and delicious. That's some excellent kitchen prep. Service was charming and attentive, and the place felt cozy despite being so big.

A perfect blend of casual and upscale. I had the shrimp risotto and it was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and full of tender shrimp. The staff gave great wine pairing suggestions and made the whole evening feel easy and enjoyable. Ideal spot for a quiet dinner.

Really good food (and cheap drinks)! I ordered the number 64 and was satisfied with what I got. The service was phenomenal! Only problem I had with the food was the amount of chicken I got. This didn’t ruin my experience here though. Our waiter was even nice enough to give us shots after! All in all I recommend eating here!

We had a birthday brunch for our friend. To start with, the service was very sluggish as they seemed to forget our orders while we were waiting for dishes to come for nearly one hour.
Also they didn't seem to have a dedicated waiter for us as I saw 3 different waiters.
In terms of food, I was happy with my greed bowl but my friend had a very small bowl of Sukshika (Tomatos with eggs) ,which looked like a side dish rather then a main dish. They also forgot to bring any bread so I asked for her.
In general, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Very tasty surf & turf. This name is used in multiple other restaurants but Roca is the winner for me. The lobster was very well prepared, not overcooked, not too dry, easy to get everything out of the shell. My friends had burger and Currywurst and they were happy with the meals. The service was good but a bit slow.

The diner was perfect! Coming from the hotel industry it was a pleasure to see great staff & great service from beginning to the end. Food was excellent too! I recommend for sure.

Really really like this restaurant
Breakfast choices are savoury, sweet or both and all delicious!
We appreciated that they made hand sanitised available in light of the ongoing pandemic. Our server was friendly and very accommodating.
Will most certainly come again

First of all the service was spectacular, we came in there 8 teenagers and the lady who took our order was so patient and sweet (an actual angel), not only that but the food was absolutely incredible and juicy, the burgers were simply amazing and so fulling. 5/5 would totally recommend and come here again

I love Jim Block. I'm a regular customer!
I'm always happy with the food quality at Jim Block. The portion size and quality are, in my opinion, excellent.
Even though they updated the menu, it hasn't reduced the quantity or quality of the food. in fact, it might even be better now.

Bring your own ketchup.. or buy it here for 80 cents!!! And no, even if you get a full meal (over 70€ total..) with fries, those greedy people sell you the ketchup separately.
The mushroom burger is delicious though.
Still the ketchup thing is plain nasty.

Some of the most delicious burgers in Berlin! I come here very often, I tried the entire menu, all the burgers are very tasty, juicy, filling and at a very reasonable price. The staff is good, service is fast. Very clean and cozy.

Me and my friends came here while we were staying in Berlin and it has changed us, it's been 3 months since we came here and I am still seeing the Philly cheesesteak in my dreams. The portion sizes and quality are so decent for the price, probably the best money I spent in Berlin. I ordered 3 sachets of mayonnaise because I'm used to the tiny pitiful amounts of mayonnaise you get in the UK just to be given an actual decent amount in each packet. Staff were very friendly despite me and my friends speaking no German. The food was just delicious and me and my friends have been debating going back to Berlin just to eat at this place again, my only complaint would be I wish they sold larger amounts of water cause I did have to buy multiple of the little glass bottles of water with every meal

We liked this restaurant a lot. We ordered small steak 180g with fries and salad for 22 euros. An excellent price for good quality meat - and I am really difficult when it comes to beef. This was tender, quite tasty, well baked. Service was fast and correct. A reasonably good selection of beers. It is a pity we could not find a lift, instead of stairs, not so easy for older people.
georginamgo - a week ago
The food was very tasty. I think the meat was well seasoned, but sadly it was a bit grainy in texture. Maybe it wasn’t stored in an ideal manner. Nonetheless that didn’t spoil the whole experience.
The staff was amazingly friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice. Just wish the tables would have a bit more privacy as it is normally the case in regular steakhouses, but again, it was just fine.
Overall I would recommend it and would definitely come again for a second evaluation :)

I had high hopes for Royal Benny (Benedict eggs), given the luxurious combination of ingredients. The brioche was soft, the torched salmon was well-prepared, and the truffle touch was a nice addition. The service was great, and the place had a pleasant atmosphere.
However, the most important aspect failed: the eggs, which were supposed to be poached, were completely cooked.
Not just one, but both eggs were hard-boiled, with no trace of runny yolk. For a dish centered around poached eggs, this is a serious and unforgivable mistake, especially considering the price. The contrast between a runny yolk and hollandaise is what makes Eggs Benny come alive, and here, it was completely missing.
A dish with so much potential and such good presentation just can't miss the basics.

Loved this place - great vibe, the food was 'fast' but not too fast all made in full view. Food and fresh blueberry milkshake was absolutely delicious. Great place to pick up some healthy fast food and watch the world go by. Staff were friendly too!

Today we had the most delicious BBQ burger and Lasagna here. I am usually too lazy to write a review but this place really deserves a nice review and score. ♡ I just ordered Lasagna but It was incredibly delicious I didn't expect it!!! There were different flavors in the burger and both were really perfect. You should definitely try the Lasagna especially, every bite leaves a great pleasure in your mouth. The staff is also very attentive and smiling. We would like to thanks all the crew for this very enjoyable dinner... (Try the lasagna) :)

The view from their terrace looks over Europa Center and also boasts a good view on two tall buildings which gives the restaurant a good atmosphere, especially during sunset. The service is incredibly kind and I definitely recommend going here for a glass of wine or a quick snack in the afternoon. I also recommend ordering a table if it is summer and you want to sit outside at sunset.

We were there early morning; the upstairs was not open to customers, so I am talking about my experience in the ground floor of the cafe. We, six people, barely fitted; the dishes looked pretty but were not tasty at all. The coffee was also just mid-quality. They brought one order wrong. The location is great; the view is wonderful.

We stumbled upon this place by accident, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The staff welcomed us like old friends, and the food was outstanding. I had the grilled seabass with herbed butter and roasted vegetables — everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were simple yet elevated. The wine pairing was also excellent. A truly unforgettable meal.

Quality Italian meal in a beautiful setting with friendly service.
The menu is large and features many great pasta, beef and fish options, and a nice selection of wine to compliment each type of dish. I also recommend the outdoor seating area when the weather allows is nice.

This was our second time dining here, and it was even better than the first. I ordered the pan-seared duck with red wine reduction — perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. The ambiance is intimate and classy, and the desserts are not to be missed. Try the crème brûlée!

Sushi enthusiast here, I’ve been dining here for years, even before it was renamed ONNOYA. The food has always been consistently good, and I really appreciate the quality and flavor, especially for the price (though it has become a bit more expensive after renaming and the pandemic). It’s also a favorite spot for my kids, which says a lot. Just a small note: if you’re dining in during the day, the natural lighting in the main area can feel a bit dim, even on sunny days.

It's just near the TU Berlin, not too crowded on weekdays, no reservations needed. Great don for the price (under 10 Euro), full of chopped salmon and veggies. The bento box sashimi was very fresh and the accompaniments were great. Crispy Tempura..

Quick and good. Waitress are smiling and super fast to take orders and serve. You sit and they bring you a free tea (during the lunch time). Choose what you want and in an average of 5/10 minutes you are eating. That happen also when the place is full. Food is fresh and good. Lunch time (11.30 - 15.00) there are special discount. Definitely recommend.
