Wannsee Day Trip Part 2 - Peacock Island
For the second part of our Wannsee Day Trip it is important to note that the Pfaueninsel Ferry does not operate during the winter, nor is it included in your BVG fare or day pass. It is operated independently by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. At the time of writing fares are €4 for adults, €2 for kids over 6, and free for kids under 6 which includes your admission to Peacock-Island and the Palace
The ferry operates daily from March 1 to October 31. Sailings start at 9 am and end at dusk. Frequency depends on demand with the norm being every 15 minutes.
Depending on how much time (and energy) you have, you can either enjoy a scenic 50 minute walk along the Havel River or you can take buses from the House of the Wannsee Conference to get to the Pfaueninsel Ferry crossing
To go by bus you can take Bus #114 south to Heckeshorn and transfer to Bus #218 to the Pfaueninsel Ferry Dock.
After exploring Peacock Island and returning to the mainland, take Bus #218 to Wannsee Station for the return trip to Berlin
